I have Caliraised sliders ordered... Did you notice any power loss or anything with adding them? I'm a bit concerned about the weight as I am on stock gears and already have added weight in other places ! but im gonna Run em !!

I did not notice any power loss or sluggish feeling after adding the sliders. I'm also running stock gears and extra weight. The thing I have added that made me feel a difference are wheels & tires. I recommend finding a good and light weight option when shopping for those.

im on load E 10 ply MT's with a fullsize spare ! LOL. Throttle controller, intake, and exhaust have really helped to gain some power back. Hoping the rock sliders are not too noticeable. Have new aluminum a-arm guards coming also.

It's been a while since my last post. Thought I'd show that 255/85R16 fit w/ stock suspension (no lift). That the 50 gal Rugged Tote fits perfectly in the bed (side to side). And last, that the black utility version mirrors handle "ditch lights" just fine.

I will join the bearded fraternity!

Got this used 2021 SR Utility 4WD today in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Turned over 7,000 miles on the way home. Dealer said he had sold it new to a girl who after several months had to sell it back to them due to losing her job because of Covid... I told my wife "now I feel like an asshole buying it, it's like a fucking blood diamond or something".

The improvements to the 2021 are pretty nice... I think CC must be standard now? It has radar cruise control, Apple Car Play, allegedly has lane departure and some other attention span alert but damned if I could get them to work on the way home. Auto high beams work about 80% of the time but are still decent. Dash is really nice, not as spartan as the older ones (I had a 2017 SR Convenience Pkg MT 4WD).

Probably gonna put on some decent AT 265 tires, maybe a black Softopper... dunno what else. Nothing big. Bought it to replace a 4Runner and trailer because we just got a house on a little 8 acre parcel and it's pretty much always gonna need shit hauled around and a base truck is just... easier.

It was 6 hours up and 6 hours back to Klamath Falls. This is Mt Shasta at sunset on the way back:

Really digging this truck so far.

Yeah, the 4cyl w/ 6 spd auto isn't superb on our mountain roads, but it'll scoot right along iffen you use 'S' mode and give 'er the beans. I'm getting slower the older I get (at least on 4 wheels) so honestly IDGAF. I do like seeing "405 miles til empty" on the display.

So far I removed the air damn, removed the front plate assembly and plugged the holes, got some Salex organizers, got a hitch and wiring ordered from etrailer, got a black 4x4 overlay ordered. Got Android Auto set up on the infotainment system and it's pretty cool. Gonna get some 265 Falken Wildpeaks or similar C load AT once we get moved cross country next month (burn off these stock tires on the trip east).

Took the dogs out to the beach earlier and I like the similarities between my black and white Huskies (one's technically a Malamute, I guess) and the truck!

Great looking truck but of course it is!

I am debating removing the front air dam...when you wrote, 'removed the front plate assembly and plugged the holes' what exactly did you do? Just curious.

I removed the license plate bracket, drilled out the holes to 1/4", and snapped in variable depth automotive fasteners (50c ea at most hardware stores) to fill the holes.

Oh, I see. I thought you had to plug holes after removing the air dam not the front plate holder. Thanks.

Damn these base trucks look swole as fuck with some slightly bigger AT or MT tires and a mild lift... and I'm not seeing any hit in MPGs or powa (but I always drive with ECT on and shifting manually on anything other than flat ground).

Eibach struts at middle notch up front, Eibach shocks and 1/2" block rear, Falken Wildpeak 265/75 16s including the spare, because I'm OCD like that...

I did the Cruise mod (Thursday) and intermittent wiper mod (yesterday)to my SR Utility. For <$100 and ~30 minutes total time spent I have something I wished I had done immediately after buying it. So danged easy. Took longer to clean the dusty sucker up after doing the wiper switch than it did to change it.

405 til empty...is that a hybrid? I seen no more than 320 til empty and I have the same drivetrain. I still have the front air dam too because I hope it gets me an extra 0.4 mpg at this point lol

I seriously don't know how I get good gas mileage (or how you guys get shitty gas mileage). I now have 265/75 16 tires and a small lift and I still am seeing like 22+ mpg average.

Wow. Last time I ran 265/60/18 duratracs with a brush guard I averaged 15.5 mpg/280 ish a tank. Granted it was still cold out. But I still don’t see that type of range these days. If I saw 400+ a tank I would never buy another vehicle.

The AT gets better mileage than my MT did. I was always disappointed with its mileage. I almost always use ECT and lock it in 4 to keep it from gear hunting. I only ever use cruise and 5 or D on totally flat roads. I usually set cruise at 9 over, and when I don't use cruise I'm never not speeding a little. I don't baby it but I also don't take off like an asshole. I've literally never checked my air pressure. I have no idea why it gets good mileage. Last tank I filled up at 420 miles and that included some 4hi stuff and about 30 min idling... but it was emmmmmmmmpty at 420!!!

Good moves! I already had cruise but did the intermittent wiper mod a few weeks after I bought mine, best easy mod ever for the SR Utility.
