That was my thought too. With a good synthetic extension line, tree savers, soft shackles and those synthetic line “snatch block” pulleys you could keep the weight down.
You could easily spend close to a grand on that kit though.

What cost more the fuel or lumber? Such an ostentatious display of wealth, it’s really sickening.

We haul 45 foot poles this way all the time...

Of course our truck is a bit bigger.. but the overhang and swing radius is.. well.. fun to say the least.

Clearly we need to tag him more often, since it's possible he forgot about the video he promised us.

@TomHGZ you got a video for us yet?

    I noticed that, too, lol.

He's here, as he's posting elsewhere.

I'd be able to forgive him if he simply came here and admitted that he doesn't have the 1st hand experience to legitimately claim that his original suggestion is not only practical, but safe. His idea stinks of a first year engineering student who's learned a couple statics or efficiency equations and thinks they universally apply to real world situations.

I'm certainly not immune to having an idea that gets shot down for reasons that I had not initially considered. But you're supposed to learn from those situations, not just turn tail and ghost the thread you started.

Yeah, but clearly every one else are obviously the ones making the mistakes. We should all apologize to him, as he is clearly the one with all the smarts.
