At this point I’ll just be happy to sell my AAPL $152.50 7/30c without a loss some time this week. Should’ve sold end of last week…

Flight was delayed by 2 hours and of course they don’t update that till I’m 2 mins past security. Go to T.G.I. Friday’s and they don’t do endless apps. Underwhelmed to say the least.

Futures are flat. The markets waiting on the FED minutes and speech. Let's hope Powell's speech coach has been working overtime. lol

I run on college student budget now. That and I swear every option I buy does bad but every one I paper trade does amazing.

I’d say abt 50/50 for paper traded and actual buys. Coincidence maybe? I paper trade when I either don’t have the funds for it settled or it’s more than I’m willing to risk so I paper trade to see what happens.

either way it’s a learning process I don’t really expect to just hop in and bang out 100% after 100%

Keep ordering the appetizers...you'll figure out where the end is...
Where are you flying? T-storms up and down the east coast right now. We just had micro-burst wind strength and some branches down in the roads...On the plus side temperature dropped 12 degrees.

Having the capital helps but trading with time for the market to fuck you then recover also helps.

I usually only buy monthly's unless I'm positive a stock will make a short term move. I also almost always buy ITM or very close to it. The downside is my premiums are more expensive. The upside is I have time to wait before I need to pull the cord. Another upside to ITM options is that the delta is significantly higher then OTM options. So if the stock makes a move I capture more gains on it then an OTM option would.

Each person should chose their own style but the system I use works out more often then it doesn't. Those RBLX calls are a perfect example. Right now they are down 17%. I've got 18 trading days for them to recover so I'm not remotely stressed yet. I also did my research and know that they report on Aug 16th. It's the Monday before expiry. That means they should run up the next 2 weeks for the typical pre-earnings run. Then I've got 4 days after earnings before I need to unload them.

I'm guessing $AXTA had some institutional buying today after earnings. Volume was 2.5x and it's up over 5% today including AH...
    Nice...5 $28 SEP calls...

I realize now this IS the play. You're better off buying a 1 month out $28 in the money call than 2 $31 calls for 1/2 the price...The math works out. Unless it's a LEAP gamble on a large lot of calls (which usually means you have a shit ton of money to throw around) I'm all aboard the In The Money train..

and for $RBLX you can close them out on an earnings run up and keep 1 or 2 for posterity :)

You should know me by now. I'll sell 1/2(20) when it hits 100% gains. Then I'll ride the rest of them through earnings. lol
