True. But I'd have a hard time paying that much for something that costs what $10 to produce. Plus you've got brand new arms that are going to last for what another 100 thousand+ miles.

yeah the hope for something mostly quiet is my hopes for this setup. I could have gone the oem replacement route but I have had this idea in my head of a side exit and specifically this style side exit:



Mostly because I haven’t seen it done before yet.

and my old one looked like this and was so goddamn loud on the highway that I hated my life.

 

I haven’t got around to making an aluminum bezel or some flared ends but I’ve had a side exit for years. Clears everything way easier. With the half doors the drone kind of sucks but it’s not horrible

I should have been clearer, I meant I have never seen anyone do a dual tip side exit. I actually leaned heavily on your build, and @eimkeith 's setup on insta he posted a while back. Also a couple other people in the "unique mods" thread had done it too.

 

I though the whole point of the side cut exhaust was to flaunt the loud exhaust?

Thanks dude! I have a small clearance issue after everything is tightened up where the left side of the tip is SUPER close to the bezel. I also snapped a bolt on the bezel installing it. Should have a new one Friday. Shout out to Dirt Skum for making these awesome bezels/kits and he also has a solution to align the tip perfectly that I will likely buy too.

Overall really happy with it, especially how quiet it is, but I want to get the mounts the makes to make tip stick out a little more aggressively. As everything got tightened down, it pulled the tip in more flush with the body. Funny part is that's what I originally wanted but seeing it stick out more aggressively made my dick hard. I also want to get it powdercoated eventually. I painted it with VHT engine enamel and that shit chipped so easily even though I baked it according to their process.

 

Does it get closer to that edge when it's all warmed up? That was the issue my buddy had with his fender dump on his car, the piping would get longer after heating up just enough to put the pipe into the sheetmetal edge

 

No this is as it sits now, so I am sure that's going to be a fun side effect I'll deal with next. I literally only had enough time this morning to slap it all together, get the new o2 sensor in, and start it up. But this product they make should def fix it and make it absolutely consistent:

 

That dual bolt mount and a flex joint right before would probably stop that from happening
