Site looks great. I like how the pics are big and you can really see it installed. They even link to TW when you click on them :D
Ever find a TW express for the DS?

Thanks for checking it out. Glad you noticed the pic links

Nope - I went to Cullman and picked up a driveshaft at a yard down there. $280 after tax + $75 for a new carrier bearing... spent more than I wanted to but the trucks rolling in 2WD again so thats good.

I'm taking both of the ones ive destroyed back to GA this weekend and having a shop there rebalance one($50) and re-tube the other($200) so I'll have good spares on hand when i do this again:rofl:

On another note - I think my truck is going to need some engine work. Pretty sure its got a leaking valve (need to do a compression test) so I'm keeping my eye out for a used head or a whole darn motor...

    Can’t say I’ve heard of them….

I’ve replaced 3 carrier bearings at this point, all OEM spicer and I never have issues with them (because I wreck my driveshafts before they have a chance to wear out)

:turtleride: Finally making some progress on the front end. Cut off the crossmember, slimmed the bumper down and made some high clearance skids.

DENSE FOG ADVISORY: A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 8 am this morning for Cullman, DeKalb, Jackson, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan counties in North Alabama, and for Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Jefferson, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, and Talladega counties in Central Alabama.

TODAY: Drier air will start working into the mid-levels of the atmosphere today across Central Alabama, which will reduce the scattered shower and thunderstorm chances for the northern half. Unfortunately, there will continue to be plenty of moisture at the lower levels, which will keep the humidity levels high and the heat index elevated. A few isolated showers or storms will be possible along and north of I-20 today, while scattered to numerous showers and storms will be more likely over the southern half of the area during the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the lower to mid 90s across the area.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for all counties in Central Alabama for today until 7 pm this evening.

THE REST OF THE WEEK: The ridge strengthens across the area on Thursday, which will give us a dry day with plenty of sun and plenty of heat. Highs will be in the mid to upper 90s. Same story on Friday… hot and humid with plenty of sunshine. Highs in the mid to upper 90s. Some locations may flirt with the century mark in the southern and western parts of the area.

THE CENTRAL ALABAMA WEEKEND: The ridge begins to weaken for the weekend and a cold front will begin to approach the area on Saturday. Moisture levels will increase ahead of the front to introduce a small chance for a few isolated to scattered afternoon showers or storms. Highs will be in the lower to mid-90s. Rain chances increase somewhat as the front begins to move closer and eventually into the northern parts of the state on Sunday. Scattered showers and storms can be expected during the main heating of the day, especially during the late afternoon through the evening hours. Highs will be in the upper 80s to the mid 90s.

THE START OF NEXT WEEK: Showers and storms will be likely at times on Monday as the front continues to push southward through the area. While we do not need the rain, the good news is that the oppressive heat will be gone for a bit. Highs will be in the mid 80s to the lower 90s.

Drier air will start to work into the northern half of the area on Tuesday, while the front continues to struggle to move out of the southern half of the area. Scattered showers and storms will be possible south of I-20, while mostly sunny skies can be expected north of that. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s for the most part.

THE TROPICS: All is quiet across the Atlantic Basin, and tropical cyclone formation is not expected within the next five days.
