What is this part called and can I replace it with black?

Like a few others have mentioned, check your local sub forums, get up to that 50 post mark for the BST and then see if there is someone with an OR that would swap you. I have seen some guys searching for the sport fenders for their OR models and vice versa

I rattlecanned mine with flat black.

Just be careful with the two large clips on the sides. The small clips are easy, but those two are like solving a Rubik's cube while doing hand yoga, inside of a Pringles can

 

FYI I did Raptor liner on my 2nd gen's fender flares. Just make sure you scuff up the paint / plastic and use their brand of adhesion promoter

That valance is unpainted. Will fade to an ugly gray in no time.

 

Where did ya go? I'm looking to pick up a Tacoma soon also

 

It's the same part # as the one on the OR. Does that fade "in no-time"?

 

Read the page you linked. It says unpainted. You might think I know some things from experience.

 

RockAuto has it listed as a "Valance Panel" under the 2020 model, but it likely fits 2021. But yeah, I have one somewhere in my garage as well.

 

Again, it's the same piece that comes factory on the OR. A buddy of mine replaced this piece on his OR and it's the same material that the fender flares are and the chin spoiler on my Sport.

 

Same part number does not mean it is exactly the same. No use in arguing with you. Continue to give people bad advice

Edit: The hood scoops all have the same part number, but different paint colors.

Yes it does. I just told you my friend ordered the exact part and it was the exact replacement. Does that not matter? Look at the fender flares for the OR. They say unpainted too. It's just a term of distinction for the part.

Um, pretty sure the valance I removed from my truck was not a painted part. Just black plastic like the unpainted flares. My truck does not look like a Chevy Avalanche.
