I should’ve done the same. It wasn’t too terribly recent but about 18 months ago I dropped $600 on new calipers, rotors and pads. For me, I just don’t think I could lock up the brakes in an emergency situation and that worries me.

I highly recommend my set up except I am going with the tundra booster since they are cheaper and apparently easier found

In my brief research, the tundra and sequoia MC are the same. I wasn’t going to replace the booster.

hey Randy, which type of ball joint press do you have? The reason why am asking is I am going to be doing my hammer hangers soon, and there are a lot of mixed reviews on a lot of the presses out there especially regarding it failing on them. Plus it is always nice to have a ball joint press around.

I always just rent one from the auto parts store. If you just want one for the HH, any one will do as it needs hardly any force. If you want one to keep around, then this is one I've used on LCA ball joints.

What does 4Runner brakes get you? Say verses Tundra brakes?

Larger calipers and rotors. Vs tundra, I don't know if we can run tundra brakes on a second gen. I believe that's a first gen thing. The 4runner upgrade on a second gen would be comparable to a tundra upgrade on a first gen.

The booster you want, it's dual diaphragm in the same size footprint.

Get off my lawn and move more fluid with your single diaphragm, junior.

What’s nice about this stuff is it can be done in pieces. Like do the bbk first, then the MC and diaphragm, then rear conversion if you really want

I still haven't done the MC or the booster.

You have to extend the rod to the pedal and get lines to tie in on the opposite side of the MC. Can buy both of eBay as well

I was just gonna get the sos kit for the MC. Comes with everything you need, including MC, for $300 or so.

Damn, I am priced out at like 150 using ebay used parts. I may wait and see how yours comes out. Still waiting on my archive stuff to finish up the rear first.

You can buy them on their own somewhere. I’ll scope them out soon when I’m in front of my pc
