Nice! That’s good info. The wildpeaks have mixed reviews and I only like them for the looks. The toyo AT3 does not seem to have any bad reviews other than a faint noise which is true for all AT tires. The sidewall is a little tame but really not bad. BFG KO2 is another one that I like because of the looks, but also with mixed reviews.

I'm loving it. Have had two tacomas and 4runner (each great in their own right) and this is the best all around.

I feel like the BFG AT are very simliar as the WildPeak where I was only able to get one good winter season out of them them and I was no longer confident driving them in snow and Ice, especially breaking. The do look good though.

Just got them on and so far the ride quality is nicer than the Wildpeaks.

Edit with mores pics and overall experience. So far probably 50 miles or so and so much smoother and quieter than the Wildpeaks and Duratracs. Almost feels stocks.

265/75/r16 on trd pro psi 32.

I have the SL 285/70/17's on my 11 4Runner. Initially I loved them. SO smooth and quiet I almost thought I was on the stock dunlops. I had put stock size Grabber ATX's on the truck right after I bought it and absolutely loved those for about 25k miles. But they don't make them in an SL or C load in a 285 so I went with the Toyo's after a really bad experience with Falken AT3's that just would not balance. Falken bought them back. Well the Toyo's still have no balance problems 20k miles later. But that's about all I can say positive about them. They are great on dry pavement but I literally have my traction control kick on every time I back out of my driveway and try to go uphill when it's raining. They absolutely suck in the snow. Like awful. The thing was a tank with the ATX's. Pretty useless off road too. Pre-lift on the ATX's I had better grip on the trails I frequent. I rotate my tires religiously every oil change and these things are chewed to hell and sound like worn out mud tires. My truck is aligned properly. They have worn so unevenly I plan to replace them soon. And they have plenty of tread left. I'll likely go to a C-load BFG after these. I've always had good luck with those.

Did you have the old open country AT2's or the new AT3's? They only came out as of March of 2020. My old AT2's were crap. My new AT3'S grip so well in the rain I can hear them.

Got my 30x9.50s on, sadly less aggressive due to Japan made. long as I don't get any sidewall punctures/tears I won't be upset, tho

Looks good! Thinking about possible doing the same tire size change. Did you have much of a mpg change? And are you able to fit those tires with the front air dam or does it rub?

Anyone running the 275/70R18 variant? Are they really only 53lbs in E load? That would be a great weight reduction plus the added snow capability compared to my current Yokohama X-AT which weigh 62lbs.

Just as a comparison, I moved from 285 BFG KO2's C-Rated that were 50 pounds a tire to the 285 toyo Open Country AT3 in an E-Rated that were 55 pounds tire. I will tell you, that I can feel a slight difference in the weight and they are a little bit more "hard" due to the E-Rated (I turned down the PSI to 33lbs and it is good) and I have absolutely no regrets. I can see the 275's being 53 pounds if the 285's are 55 pounds in an E-Rating.

NO rubbing at all ... even with front mud flaps on, i removed lower front air dam right after buying truck just because it looks so much better without in my opinion.
As for mileage i have not noticed much of a mileage change at all, maybe dropped just a little bit but i still show average 21mpg
The tires ride great and look so much better than the 245's that were on the truck

Getting a set of these this week on my 14’ DCSB on bronze FN Fx Pro wheels in 265/70/17. I’m hoping these tires are better than my previous experience with the past 2 sets of AT tires I’ve had. Previous tires were BFG K02 C load and Grabber ATX grabbers we’re good and quiet but wore super fast, BFG are basically impossible to get to balance well and stay balanced, and they wore like crap. I’ve read a lot of good about the toyo at3 and toyo R&D is top notch.

will post photos after they are road force balanced and mounted

i have these in 265/75/16 SL. I went from KO2s (265/70/17, C load) to these. The MPGs are about the same. I get 16-17 MPGs with a snugtop on the back, 1.5 in lift in the front and back.

I know this question has been asked in one form or another here but I cant seem to find it so: For those of you with 265/75/16 sl, what tire pressure are you running highway?

This is a very good question and it can be given here all over the map. I called Toyo straight away and asked them. They went by the sticker on the door and the size of my AT3s and gave me the PSI I should be running. If I put a load in the rear I add a couple psi. Mine are C rated. I would call them for accurate info.

so the 265/75/16 toyo AT3 SL even if made in the USA will not have aggressive side wall like C,LT,E correct ?

Does not it matter on the SL - they have the thinnest sidewall. It’s the LT built version in Japan that is slim but should be more pronounced.
