So, I bought a TRD skid plate from a guy locally. He said it was OEM, it even had an OEM sticker. The material is correct, the weight is correct, but it is in 2 pieces. I cannot find this "version" anywhere. Did I get taken? It seperates just past the lift point. 4-bolts on the front portion and 2 bolts on the rear portion.

Can you post a pic? You're referring to the TRD Pro skid? I've only seen them being 1 piece, and not sure what sticker you are referring to.

Yeah, I will take a picture in a bit. I am "working" right now. The sticker is the SKU sticker.

TRD pro skid is one piece. The one you have is probably the TRD off-road skid, which is two plates.

So you have a TRD Pro skid plate broken in two pieces?

So someone cut it in half? Maybe they cut to work with another set of skid plates? The Pro plate should be one piece.

What you using it for? Looks or actual protection? If just looks leave the back part off?

please post an actual picture. Because as far as "we're" all aware, the Tacoma TRD Pro skid never came in a 2-piece version. Do the pieces bolt together somehow? Sounds like the person you bought it from had a drop bracket lift and modified it.

You have a Trd Off-road skid plate. It is 2 pieces!

A sport only had the front part!

I bought a 2016 Trd Off-Road skid plate set on Facebook marketplace and it came with both!

That doesn’t look normal for an OEM piece. How is the front part of the rear half of the skid supported? Is there a lip there that tucks under the forward piece?
