At least you had a staff to begin with. Nobody picked the Giants to be any good. The division could well hang on where he lands but wouldn’t it be cool if it came down to a Scherzer/Kershaw duel either to determine the division winner or wild card winner if the Padres pull back into the lead.

 

Dodgers/Giants/Padres three best teams and one could go home after 1 game wild card playoff.

 

Yay, Crawford’s back, boo, Posey took a foul of the face mask and had to leave the game yesterday. OAN, Estes was talking this morning about what it was like with the Dodgers having his number. As good as Anthony Desclafani has been otherwise it’s been a different story facing LA. He also thinks we’d be better served acquiring Kris Bryant than Max Scherzer since Bryant can play multiple positions and would be an upgrade in left and fine backup for Longoria or Belt who both are still on il and might need additional time. Scherzer while an upgrade would push somebody already good out of the rotation. That and some bullpen help would bolster the team nicely for the stretch run.

 

Really hope the Dodgers add more pitching before tomorrow.

Also talk about being even. 8-8 with both teams scoring 68 runs. Wild.

As a Giants fan I was hoping they'd land scherzer or at least have him go to the Padres. Sucks to see him go to an already stacked doyer team. I guess on the upside the Giants didn't have to give up a lot of prospects. Keep on chuggin, good series win today.
