It was the only double cab that was actually on a lot with out “market adjustment”. shout out to coggins in bennington.

I had a sx on order as it was the cheapest and would work if I’m being honest. Then my tacoma sold on ebay and it was still a week before my truck was even going to be built. Saw this and made a move!

@Pugga i wasn’t sure I would like it, same as my wife’s 4runner. I think it looks better on the truck! Happy with it overall

The sx I had on order was white:rofl:

They take off the larger gas tank which really was a bummer, but they also take off all the chrome and badges for me, so it soothed some of that pain. I would have been happy with that truck.

    How's yours running?

Not too bad, been getting all the attention lately. New harmonic balancer, idler, tensioner, fan pulley bracket, radiator, belt, front ebrake cable, ebrake pivot and hardware, EBC pads and rotors on all 4 corners, and wheel spacers.

I'm simply glad my friends are out of their "OMGLETSGODRINKING" phase. I don't drink and I never did, so it was always a weird place to be because either I wouldn't get invited out, or if I did I got looks and comments, etc. I remember asking a friend why it mattered what was in my cup and she replied "it just does". We drifted apart not too long after that and it always bothered me.

What I don't understand is why people are so presumptuous with it. I was at a holiday party and I ordered a soda and a co-worker whom I wasn't really close with was like why don't you have a beer and I just said I don't drink and the response was "that's weird, how do you function". What upset me was he didn't know why I didn't drink, was I sober, was it for medical or religious reasons, or was it just a choice. I wasn't about to pick a fight over it, but that could be bad with the wrong person.

When anyone I'm with goes out and has too much I always offer to drive, but the condition is your car, but my music. My personal favorite was a one hour trip home playing the best of Raffi. I think at repeat 12 of Bananaphone my friend swore off drinking ever again.

My reply to the "why aren't you drinking" is to raise my glass and say "what the fuck do you think I do with this soda, eat it with a fork?"

    Nice!

heavier trucks will always be more comfortable. The Tacoma is lightweight on some relatively pretty heavy suspension. Feels stiff. The tundra has more weight to shift around so it’s smoother. Heavier but smoother.

I actually passed a bronco today and I’m sold. I’m waiting it out now - I’m getting a bronco for sure. Or just for S and G a Jeep so I can rock the no doors. But yeah those Broncos are sick. And starting base at 28.5 with a decent drive train I am sold.

Lol. Yeah I only really drink socially now. Like when I go camping I bring beers but sitting at home. Meh. I enjoy whisky by the fire in the winter time to time but - why drink just to drink? I got shit to do.

    that made me chuckle.

Well… my truck is heavier than the Tundra but I promise you the Tundy rides better! :crapstorm: The Tundra does ride nice, a little touch of boatish but nice and smooth.

At some point in my life I had the ability to have 1-2 and not want more, or even if I wanted I had the ability to use my head and refrain. I was pretty much the same person drunk vs sober. Got in a few bar fights but I can honestly say never got in one drunk I wouldn't get in sober.

I also met my wife after stopping..and my sister's 3 kids (the oldest was born 8 months later) haven't seen that side of me. Bought a house too.

My birth parents were young when they had me (23 and 20 IIRC) and both had heavy use of alcohol documented. My parents barely imbibe..my dad goes through a 6 pack a year whether he drinks all 6 or not, I can count on one hand the times I've seen my mom sip a glass of wine. I always knew my limit very well, I just chose not to follow it..haha. I still do go to bars for playing league..necessary evil but if it ever became an issue, league is out of my life. I firmly believe if I started again I'd be dead pretty quick.

Everyone does what's best for them. Many ways to go..dancing or mosh pits sober aren't as good an idea for me (especially the latter), but silly shit I've never needed a drink for!

I never used to get hangovers until I was 26, then I couldn't buy my way out of it. My high consumption level plus overdoing it enough, I guess. One of my famous escapades was fixing the power windows on my old Chevy Celebrity on a 90 degree day, only cold thing in the house was water and beer. Got those damn windows fixed and about 18 empties lined up..then my friend and I went to Jillian's for the night, how I didn't get refused service is beyond me.

Appreciate it, but I have some toyo at3's coming.
@GarlicFarts have you been in a tundra? I think he's right, its just smoooth, compared to ford and tacoma at least. With the sport suspension it's a little stiffer than normal, and I'm going to add E rated tires for a little firmer connection. It may not ride as soft as a dodge, but it is steadier too which I prefer.

I'm also talking about its engine and acceleration. The taco with its new engine, and even the 1st gen, just didn't come close. I don't know if its the limited driving or areas I've been in, but towing or driving with just myself, I never feel it shift. It just stays steady as a rock the entire time. With an older 6 speed I was not expecting that. My wife's new telluride is quick and "fast" but it is jarring stepping on it sometimes and when it shift I generally know if I'm paying attention. With the tundra I have no idea what gear I'm in, it just pulls along at the same rate and rpms as I gain speed. Its almost like that superhero that once he gets going cant stop, juggernaut? But I guess with better stopping power.

No contest , I have a terrible turning radius. The 450 actually turns tighter because of the wide track front end. The tires will turn over harder on the 450 giving it a tighter turning radius than the 250, even though its longer a d has dual rear wheels.

Huh thats interesting. Chevy, at least the older ones, had a horrible turning radius

Yeah - the paradox of the bigger truck turning radius. Bigger stuff means the wheels have more room to turn meaning they can actually have a tighter turning radius than their mid size brothers at times. I think there's an F150 that can turn tighter than the ranger or something like that if I remember correctly.

My 06 Colorado sucked to turn. I bet a full size would be better.
