Idk if thats possible unless their legally sold to their dealership or someone that works there. Wouldn't it be listed on the title as a 2nd owner?

It is listed as "one owner" which makes it used. Like I said, there are lots of reasons a vehicle can be considered used and still have low mileage such as someone turning the vehicle back in because they wanted something different or didn't like it, etc, etc.

There are people who do, or just flat out return it, believe it or not. Keep in mind also that you're doing an internet search which will turn up all kinds of things. Not to mention that dealerships have access to networks we don't and can seek out certain vehicles to sell. My truck, for example, was purchased by me in Ann Arbor, MI but had spent its entire life before that in Connecticut as a lease.

There's also the possibility that the dealership titled it to themselves. And if I'm not mistaken, rebates aren't hurting the dealerships unless the dealership itself is offering it. Generally these things come from the manufacturers themselves so the dealership has nothing to gain from not offering it.

Dealers only go as far as the people who are stupid enough to keep buying from them. It doesnt matter how much you complain right before you sign the finance papers.

I have to wonder if the at home test drives most dealers are offering now has something to do with as well.

Not likely since it wouldn't be titled yet.

Another reason someone would trade one in so soon is they get it home, realize it doesn't have X feature they wanted, and then the dealership is more than happy to move them to another trim level.

My dealer gets trade in with some frequency of same model year, I just did a used car inspection on a 2021 Dodge Ram that had around 3000 miles on it, I assume the buyer decided they didn't like it and wanted a Ford instead.
Also I dont trust the filters/labels on most car selling sites, the dealer website yes. auto trader, carguru, ect, not so much.
You can buy a new car that is two model years old and still have full factory warranty, its based entirely from the date the vehicle is registered to the first owner.
And we sell new cars with mileage frequently, where do you think those loaner vehicles come from that people expect whenever their vehicle is in service for more then a day. Heck my dealers GM doesn't even drive his car, he gets a brand new dealer unit and once he hits 3000 miles it gets a oil change/tire rotation then is sold as a new demo and he gets another dealer unit to drive, rinse and repeat.

the ‘ rinse and repeat ‘ is often sold at the % discount same customer would have gotten barefoot & pregnant

folks are far toooooo anxious the minute they step on lot

eager to get what they want opposed to getting a goooood deal

several dealers in this area a while ago ( b4 the market heated up )

offered onTV 20%- 25% off msrp.............sale were slow

1 offered same % as IF the buyer were a Company Employee

Selling used does not help dealer with rebates. Those rebates go through Toyota. It is not the dealer providing that money. Lots of folks have reasons for getting rid of a new vehicle as several have mentioned.

What's interesting is if you do one of the free VIN checks on the Ford the OP lists as an example, it comes up as listed for sale at Contrac Ford in Dutton, Ontario with 12 miles back in April. I don't think 135 miles is enough to get that truck from there to PA, so either that VIN check is screwed or something else is going on with that truck.

Like everyone says... Could be any number of reasons.

That particular truck looks like a fleet truck. Could have been a company that bought 100 trucks but ended up only needing 99 of them.

Not a trick.... Just the way it goes.

OP - I'm very interested in these deals. Since I am out of state I would propose I wire you funds to make the purchase on my behalf. For your trouble, I will wire $10K extra and only ask you wire me back $5K and you keep the balance. I will send you a message once funds are wired so you can immediately wire me the $5K. :spending:
