TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

@nudavinci64 there are no vibes with the improved transmission mount. What it may pick up you will barely notice if at all.

 

Were you able to change out the PCV with the SC still ontop of the engine? Or did you take off the SC to get to the PCV?

If you have the right tools, anything is possible while the blower is still on.

True, with universals, and combinations of extension I imagine it can be done. The same can be said for the drivers die spark plugs-yet I still pull off the blower for them. Was curious it was easier to take the blower off, or if its pretty easy to take the PCV off with the blower still on.

 

I've never touched mine but I'd imagine it would be insanely easy to do with the right tools..only because it comes out at a slightly angle. Think 25* angle or less.

 

That’s the kind of thing I expect to see on a mid 90’s Dodge.

I actually don’t have a Tacoma. It’s a Lexus with a TRD blower on it. But everything except the starter is accessible with the blower attached.

 

Yeah, you have to remember the FLIPPIN INTAKE MANIFOLD to access the starter!!!

 

I’d take off the SC and make sure that hose connection under the back of the blower is solid for the PCV system cause if that hose falls off for whatever reason your engine will NOT run.

 

He must have to the steering ratio mod, from 4:1 to 1:4.

Holy cow, when did the Magnuson (no tuning) setup go up to $5600? I thought they were like $4800?

 

About a year to year and half ago. I remember see it go up not long after getting mine.

 

na it has to be much more recently. i didn't pay that much for mine.
