It's amazing how much cool, old, and EFFECTIVE technology there was fifty, seventy-five or even a hundred years ago.

Emphasis on rugged. Ain't a damn thing made to last nowadays.

True that and a shame too.

Although to take the side of the manufacturer for a minute, by the time they incorporate the convenience features people want and the safety systems to protect the user from themselves into the product -- things are a lot more complicated than 75 years ago.

True that things are more complex, but even basic things are not built to last any longer. All about the quick buck.

My Chevy truck blew the head at 70K miles. WTF

Curious what you do with this old iron? Refurbish-sell/trade or just mostly collect?
A guy who is a contract machinist for me during outages was telling me about some type of little engines they use in Vietnam, (he was there visiting a few years ago). Anyway he said those engines were something I'd like. Said they use them for powering just about anything you can think of..o_O

Truthfully, not much, never make a dime...

I like machines and have spent my entire life collecting them up. Engines, air compressors, garden tractors, on and on.

The goal is to be in my garage, listen to my music and tinker with my stuff.:)

    Honest, I don’t have a clue.

if I saw it on the motor I’d have a better chance of figuring it out.

    Bang,,,,,

    Squish, squish, squish, squish.

    Bang…….
