I feel like the wagons back on the Oregon Trail probably rode better than an E rated tire at 35 psi on the trail

My driver side front has a significant amount of tire missing, I hop the curb every morning to park where there's shade when it's time to leave... It's kinda comical how fucked up that made them

I always hovered just below 30 after they settled from a tire rotation, trail wise i made it down to 12 and they didnt bulge bad at all

I mean if you're going to weld your rear end anyway, doesn't really matter if the tires are going to make it hop lol.

I run like 10-12 psi on my KO2s on most trails and all the Joop guys ask me if I’m having car trouble. “No I’m just airing down” and all you get is a blank stare back.

Then I’ll do 28-30 psi on the roads here because they might as well be a trail after the winter storms tore them up. Highway trips I’ll go up to 35 in hopes of mpg gains.

Only reason i dont like airing down is for this. Crazy people dont bother to do it on even like service roads for the shitty washboards if theyre going back in to camp for a bit

I always do it, even if it's a light fire road. Just takes about 5 min with the auto deflators. Airing up is more of a pain, but I remind myself how expensive my tires were and it's usually enough motivation. Running them that low on the street for any considerable stretch will wear the tread all wonky, not to mention heat them up and make a blowout more likely.

my point exactly, there's shit usually to do before and after hitting an area anyways. Gives you 5 min to shoot the shit while doing the air up or down. Not to mention it prolly halves the strain on your suspension from the tires absorbing the shock.

airing up is definitely the worse, always antsy to get home and shower/ chill haha

    I have mods
I have no problems doing an hour drive on the freeway with tires at 15psi. Keep it at around 65 and you are fine. Just don't forget they are aired down and try driving like an asshole. The occasional 30 - 40 miles of driving at lower air pressure is not going to significantly degrade the life of the tires.

We all did that, from campsite to Moab, back to campsite, to trails, and back. Pretty sure after M&M we stayed aired down.

Oh yea i could see for situations like that. Id keep them low through like the azbdr between trails if not too far apart. I usually go 3-4 hours out one way and one way back lol

Did so much cleaning today at the storage; imagine it being full but now half of it was taken out/tossed and my stuff is already taking up a corner.

Still have a lot more to bring down -

Found this too, and since Steph was going to throw it away, figured I can clean it up and trade in for some old school games -
