Yes but I hate any and all wires, I don't lose the OBDII Port. The stock port plugs into this and becomes the new OBDII port.

I have in my Toyota a cigarette lighter in the glove box that I can easily hide any cable, with constant power, and the engine off. Plus one in the middle console.

Any cigarette light in the glove box or hidden?

I was wondering if most Toyota's vehicles has hidden cigarette lighters.

What kind of power cable does the Thinkware front and rear dash cams comes with? Cigarette lighter, USB, etc.

The link just says power cable.

Will the rear camera have issues showing live feed through the factory window tint?

Just curious - why you use that versus the on board sat nav or via apple/android sat nav?

I use carplay to but with the Taco Garage DMM it looks badass up there. Plus if something is wrong with my phone etc it's good to have a back up.

If something goes wrong with your iPhone does the carplay work as a phone?

    Not familiar with technology.

I'm confused to your question. But will try to answer?

Carplay is just the software interface between the vehicle and the phone. You need a connection to the phone and the phone to be running, but on the screen you can pull up phone, texts, sat nav, music, host of other things.

Android is better - more controls, mirroring, etc. whereas iphones need to have a specific carplay interface built in - and, since it's apple, you have to pay for the access/rights to be able to program for them. Android is just wide open, so any app can do it free (or just mirror it too).

Anyway @Unchained 5150 not sure how much you use it, BUT I have one of these. Slightly buggy (but not more than you'd respect for the fact that it's jimmy rigged to get it to work). I haven't re-routed my media port to the center console yet, but once I do it'll be even better.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cplay2air-wireless-apple-car-play-adaptor.652328/

You can get them on Amazon. I got the white one because the black one was in high demand but the white was like 45$ off so, worth it. Has been great for me - I only have a 15 minute commute and genuinely, plugging in my phone adds 5% time to get it going

Actually - now that I am remembering, the cplay2air is a knockoff of the carlinkit - THAT'S the one I have, it's the same exact thing. That's available on Amazon (at least was, a few months back).
