Ok. Makes sense. I don't think I'll splurge for now but maybe in the future. The OME has met or exceeded all expectations and TBH my LandCruiser gets most of the love these days.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Totally makes sense. I ran with 5100s and ToyTec springs and the did the job. Nothing wrong with OME shocks/springs.

I wouldn't say coilovers are "neccesary" but I used to question if they were really "worth" it... I found the answer to be yes.

The one I'm referring to is the FJ62. My family owns 9 land cruisers. We're crazy. I'll be buying a 200 series next year. :p

Sweet! My dad drives an '07 LX470. That is one of the 9 LandCruisers I was referring to. Just broke 100k miles on it. It's still a baby. Bro just bought a 2016 LC in March. That car is incredible.

My dad has a 2019 currently
I have an 08 with ~125k.. it’s my wife DD. She will eventually get my dads 19 when he gets a new one. I will get 08 back. Dealer says I should be able to put an easy 400k on it. I am going for it. Lol

Downsouth or Filthy used to do them in house. Can't remember which one (or it may have been someone else, but someone did) But they weren't "off the shelf" (from King) 1st Gen. That's where you may have seen it.

Also, you may have seen someone with Long Travel.

I'm still a ways out until I redo my front suspension so I have plenty of time to make a decision. I like the idea of remote resis vs an emulsion shock. I go back and forth between Fox with remotes and Kinds with out...or go custom? As far as custom- being my truck is a giant fat ass I'll most likely get them custom tuned/valved anyway so why not go more custom with remote resis on kings?

Next up is new leaf springs for the rear, then a super nice walking foot sewing machine, then the roof and tent for my camper, then new shocks for the rear and then new front suspension.

What are you're thoughts on leafs? Mine isn't quite as much of a "fat ass" but I do run pretty heavy. I'm bouncing between Alcan custom, Deaver custom, and Chevy 63s... Everytime I think I make up my mind, I change my mind.

I'm thinking custom Alcans currently but might change my mind. I'll give Deaver a call at some point.

I went down a Chevy 63 rabbit hole for awhile. It seems like a lot of fit, weld, test with load, cut weld, reposition repeat. After building my camper I'm a little less inclined to go this route. Mike @916TacoTruck can speak to them more than I can. He gave me some excellent perspective.

As of last year my truck was 5780 pounds with a week's worth of food, beer and tequila, 7 gallons of water, 32 gallons of gas and myself. I'll get front and rear axle weights at a Cat scale when the time comes.

Right now my truck drives like a covered wagon. I'd like to fix that.
