Where exactly? Pic? On the truck or the shade itself?

I used a heat gun (hair dryer may work).
Heated the shade/tape - be careful not to get the paint too hot.
Then pulled the shade off. Go slow and pull it off a little at a time.
Reapply heat, and pull some more.

Some tape will be left on the truck.
I also heated it, and used a plastic body panel tool to scrape the old tape residue off.
(Kind of like a small heavy duty putty knife)
Then finished up with 3M adhesive remover.

After you are done. Be sure to apply a good sealer/wax to the paint.

No problem, just keep an eye/feel on the paint.
It took me awhile. But I finally got it off.

Another option, there’s a decal remover. I have one made by Astro pneumatic. It’s basically a disc, like a grinding wheel but made of rubber. I stuck it in a drill and kinda use the edge. It works great for it’s intended purpose, to remove decals. I’ve also used it to remove packing tape stuck on painted metal surfaces. You could set the drill for low rpm so it doesn’t generate as much heat on the surface.

If the tape glue is sun baked on, goof off would be my choice.

I used Xylene During my 30 plus years as a Self employed detailer and it has saved me thousands of hours of labor.

Xylene is a fantastic adhesive remover and is clearcoat safe. The "consumer grade" removers such as Goof Off and the like are moderately sufficient at removing the weaker glues and adhesive tapes with a lot of elbow grease. Xylene can be spayed on and wiped off or put on a rag and wiped on. Xylene also dissolves road tar so fast it instantly sends it running.

Can be found at Home Depot, Lows or any place that sells paint.
