I made a new friend at the bar. He has a white Tacoma. I showed him my black truck with mods, he's jealous. He has cool rubber mat better than the stock mat. I haven't seen it before.

I have to change the dates. Buying/selling a house, moving, and planning the wedding is taking all of my free time. I barely had the time to get the 2 worn front tires replaced, or even change my oil.
I've got to have all my shit out the house August 12th, we don't close on the new place until about September 3rd (hopefully sooner than later, loan type is affecting this date :frusty: ). Still not really set in stone 100% of our wedding date, either.

Sorry if this hurts anyone's PTO/vacation, but life is life.
I'm looking for a weekend in November, October is too busy with like 3 close family birthdays that I will attend. it won't be Thanksgiving or during the Rush Turkey Run

I'm out in that case, unfortunately. PTO in that time of year is nearly impossible, and, honeymoon trumps Meats.

Sorry man, hate that you can't make it. I suck at planning and paying attention to dates. But you're missing it for a better reason than being there.

Totally, wish I could join the fun but I'll be there in spirit. Who knows, maybe I'll sneak down sometime early Saturday and spend a day...

I may make it depends on doctor's order. I may go to the treatment center. No idea how long the treatment would be. If I am feeling okay on that weekend, then I can go off road on Saturday and Sunday.

If I can't make it for some reason, I will check this thread periodically for off road updates such as pictures/videos.

Oh I am, but it's a weekend that seemed to work. I'm also more than just a gun-season hunter . KY's modern gun season start is the 13th.

2 weeks/3 weekends with a gun in your hands doesn't make you a hunter :D :crapstorm:

But, it's also one of the peak weekends of the rut. I hunt in Ohio, and our gun season is after the rut....so that means I don't get to hunt the rut much at all, unless I head out on the weekends. So in other words...I try not to schedule anything for those weekends

Side note. Does anyone hunt on rush? Is there the potential to make owners, or neighbors mad?

I do bow hunt a little. And crossbow. But definitely prefer gun cause it’s the easiest.

Deer rut when the weather tells them to, not a certain time of year, and sometimes more than one time period, too.

I totally understand, though. I need to fill a freezer myself!

If it wasn’t opening weekend for gun then I’d go. But that’s just a tradition I have with my dad, we always go opening weekend together

Trust me guys, if I had a place nailed down where I could put up my stands and cameras, I'd pick a different weekend. Hunting southeast KY is gonna be different, either I quit smoking and start gathering rock climbing gear, or I drive my truck or a 4 wheeler

And I very well can change the dates still.

There's a corny AF joke about dogs that live in this area; when a dog gets excited, their tails wag up n down, not side to side, otherwise they'd hit the sides of mountains...
