Drove home in a rain-white out yesterday from JB-MDL. Could only do 30mph at one point.
All gone, sunny skies as soon as I hit Burlington.
Hope there were no serious injuries at Faulkner.

    Good Morning all.

I just picked up a 2001 Double Cab yesterday evening. 162k miles in pretty good condition. I haven't been able to find any reputable mechanics around Pittsburgh area with any of my previous vehicles. Does anyone have any recommendations specifically for Toyotas w/ the 3.4L. I don't want to take it to a dealer just to be looked over.

    Things to look into:
It has the normal look of valve cover gasket leasks. (not worried about doing this job.)
May have a leak down by the oil pan or it was just from the last oil change. ( I dont have the garage space/ tools to drop the front diff.)
Will need timing belt done soon. ( I can do this if needed)

Anyways, any recommendations for mechanics would be appreciated.

Greetings Pennsylvanians and welcome to Friday! Took a few days off from work this week...got some new ink...been good for the ol' mental health.

Question for you guys in the Western part of the state (specifically the greater Pittsburgh area). Does anyone have a shop recommendation for window tinting? I want to have the front doors done on my taco. Nothing very dark though...50% if a shop will do it...just enough to knock down a little heat and glare.

Hope everyone has a great weekend ahead!

TC customs on rt 51 in Jefferson hills. He just did my leaf. Good job , 2 front windows and a strip across the windshield $100. Although I had to clean up the car I was satisfied.

From what I was hearing, they had trailers flipped over there too. Not sure what the extent of the injuries were though. Lucky it didn't flatten that area.

Annoying last two days. Our ovens are pretty reliable (or so I thought) and on the electrical side we don't have to do too much to them. We use an OSHA flame manager to control the gas flow and burner spark if they don't work, the burner won't light and the oven won't get hot. There are 90 total burners across 3 layers of our oven. I got a call yesterday that they can't get the top pass up to temp. So I walk over there, and there are 40-50 of these flame managers that are broken. Nobody every said anything about them. Not even the mechanics who do the PMs on the ovens. They just let it go. So I've been spending the last two days trying to find the spare parts and manpower to go burner by burner and try to get every one of them to light. Even had to call in the oven service tech to come give us a hand.

Just finished replacing this 18 tacoma windshield with lane departure warning system. Not a fan of these new tacoma side moldings.

From what I’ve seen the trailers that were flipped were fortunately unoccupied ones that were not in that park but in Weisser Homes located between the dealership and CMC equipment.

Nice. My 1st Taco was that color in xtend cab configuration. That was a great truck but I realized, after getting a color-matched ARE and bed lined, that I really needed seating for three and the xtend can just did not work for me. Traded it for the 3rd gen 4Runner that I loved. Still miss the 4Runner.
