Started up this morning just fine, but within a few seconds of running a tinging/chiming noise started. I restarted and it went away.

Any thoughts on what this could be?

Searched TW and didn't find any similar noise complaints, but I may have missed a post, so by all means let me know otherwise.

Sounds like an idler bearing or belt chirp imo.

First step in troubleshooting would be to narrow down where the sound is coming from.

Serpentine belt noise would be my fist guess. Should be in warranty if you bring back to the dealer.

1st gen - it's got a built engine, a turbo, and waaaaaaay too much to list. 3rd gen - basic-bitch lift, S/C, Pro Wheels
It's a 2021 with 10k miles on it. First step to troubleshooting would be to drop it off at the dealer where they pay for it all under the warranty.

I somewhat remember seeing a TSB about chirping on the NHTSA website as well. Don't drive yourself crazy thinking about something that should be fixed for free whether it's just warranty work or a TSB...

Thanks all, it's definitely going into the Toyota Dealer. Just wanted to see if anyone had any insight ahead of time.

    Noise hasn't came back since.

Sometimes moisture or water gets on the belt when first thing in the morning when its cooler...result is the belt can chirp till the engine warms enough. If its there all the time, belt likely needs to be replaced. Could be the result of a misalignment issue.

Vacuum hose in your ear can help find where the noise is coming from. This normally works well for hearing hissing from vacuum leaks but in your case I think it'll also work.

With one end in your ear, move the other end around until you find the noise. Also the dealer should find and fix it.

I got the TSB done for that belt chirp. They installed the v-rib belt and it went away.
