Its not terribly difficult to do, adding the wiring harness and the switch is the only real nuisance is routing the wires.

Yup, this all the way. Between a good base layer, flannel, and insulated vest I haven't really worn a winter coat in years

 

As somebody who has suffered a serious heat stroke, I can confirm this. At least when you die in the cold you don't turn all of your muscles into one giant cramp (the back muscle of my tongue/ throat cramped up... scary) and expel fluids until you're a human raisin for hours and hours before you really die.

In the cold, you just go to sleep.

I switched to wool socks 5 years ago and that’s the only thing I wear

plus if you get ones from darn tough, they have a lifetime warranty so you never need to buy new socks again

 

Darn Tough are great. I also have several pair of heavy wool Red Wings for winter/work boots

 

I didn't know that. I guess I'll be acquiring a few pairs.

 

This reminds me of the lifetime warranty on brake pads at O'Reilly.....

 

My dad just got a hole in one a while back. Sent them a picture and a few days later had a new pair
