Just enough to look kinda cool.
No place to put auxiliary reverse lights w/out cutting and making myself. I can do it but I’d rather not.
I’m not a huge fan of the swing out design that Fab Four makes. And it doesn’t carry much more then a 33 I think.
There’s not a place to slide a high lift into to jack which I use more often then any other recovery tool.

    Now what I do like

It’s a great looking replacement bumper.
Maintains the factory tow recevoir which I use up to 4000+lbs.
Sub 1000$ bumper and easy to install.
No need for cutting or chopping the fenders.

Would I get it again if I was looking for a replacement yes, as an upgrade maybe not.

Any rec's for local shops in the Treasure Valley? I've got new Dobinsons suspension on the way that needs installing.

Well let me know if you end up going before I try somewhere. I have a number for a guy who does it out of his garage and he did good work. I'm just nervous with the new rig, to just take it anywhere...

Boise 4x4 seems to do alot of good work from what I've seen. He has a Facebook and instagram page. He's only done maintenance for me so far though. I'll probably need somewhere soon as well and will probably go with him.I have wheels and tires off my old rig that wont quite fit on the new one so I may need to lift it a bit... still deciding.

He's pretty active on the 1st gen facebook pages. Lots of people seem to recommend him.

Yeah I wanna get the tint done asap. I never got it done on my 08 cause I kept putting it off. Trying to do better with the new truck.

Well,I had my brother take the 08 to discount tire to meet me ( he bought my old rig)and took mine down there and we were gonna swap my stock for my old rims and tires but it was bumping the front piece on the bumper and so close to the back that if I were to hit a bump it seemed like it would do damage. I guess its the offset on the rims were 12mm I think and that's why they weren't working. Their just 17x 9 with 265/70/17 falken wildpeaks. I'm icky about the cutting but it is only a 4 day old truck.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I met those guys at the first Taco Vinyl meetup. Good to hear another person recommends them. Gave them and Toysport Automotive a call today...Toysport was too overpriced for suspension install, expecting something more reasonable from Boise 4x4.

Thanks hun, I'm gonna see if there's anything I like on the new truck. I really loved my set up on the old rig so it's a bummer is all...

Wow Ben what kind of voodoo magic did you do to get an appointment on Saturday? I called and set one for October. Lol.

He did mention the whole "leave it here for a week and we can get to it" living in Emmett makes that a bit of a challenge for me. Haha

Let me know how that goes!

Dropping mine off is an option I'm considering, since I WFH it's not driven daily. Coordinating Drop off / pick up is really the main headache of that. Still probably better than waiting until October. Lol

Thinking of trying Boulder City north of ketchum tomorrow. I ran it on my dirt bike last year. I think 33’s and some skinny pedal should get me up there. Am I looking at disaster or not?

City, that’s what I’ve always referred to it as. About 15 minutes north of ketchum north side of the road.

Sounds like a few of us are interested in running it. Should try and get a group together.

Didn’t make it all the way. I started dragging belly and didn’t want to get myself totally stuck with a group of jeeps behind us (can’t be tarnishing the Tacoma’s name) so I turned around here’s some of the battle scars. Next trip is going to require some sliders.

this is where I got stuck, Ben will probably recognise the spot. Had my old man hop on the rear bumper and was able to back out of it and head back down.
