Beautiful day here, mid 70s and sunny. A really comfortable summer day.

Got a little breezy here today as well! Pulled the truck closer to the old maple tree today to wash the truck for some shade. Wasn't really all that dirty, just all the bug guys splattered all over the front. Also pressure washed the bugs off the AC condenser while I had it out. Probably won't make a difference, I just hate them all stuck on there.

Looked at my odometer as well, looks like I'm almost due for my 10K. Been putting the miles on this damn thing! o_O

A beer by the pool in the afternoon is great..but bourbon or a gin and tonic at Happy Hour is the best.

Just hit 57,000 and I got a rear drive shaft u-joint squawking. Any recommendations for what brand to rebuild with? I was also thinking about a Tom Wood one piece rear shaft. Any 2nd gen DCLB owners go this route.

Whatever you decide to do… if you’re going to rebuild, do all the u-joints. Can’t say much about the one piece driveshaft BUT I would think it be the best best and pricier than the rebuild

Ill look into them. Thank you.

Thanks for the information. I'll give them a call and have them take a look. It only took me 6 months to find one with this mileage and no rust within a reasonable price.

I rebuilt my driveshaft about a year ago with all oem Spicer parts. 5 greaseable u joints and the carrier bearing. So far so good. I bought it with apx 100k and had a slight vibe and it did fix the vibe. If u do go with the 1 piece let us know how u like it.

Absolutely was going to do all the joints and the carrier bearing also.

They are easy to do. Just time consuming. We did @HomerTaco rear window.
