I lose speed going up hills...tf is it still the 1980s?

The 2.7/3.5 reliability debate will slightly favor in the 2.7 but I’m gonna assume only a very few of us on here will keep these trucks long enough to see the difference. The truck will probably rot away first if anything.

If I had to get another Tacoma I’d get the V6. Don’t hate the 2.7 it does serve its own purpose. It would make a great farm truck, fleet vehicle, or a spare vehicle that sees minimal use.

Dude you can’t break the 2tr, it lugs down better, it has way more cooling capacity, it operates in a way smoother fashion. The 2tr/r155 combo is probably the last 90’sish Toyota truck combo

I cannot figure out why Toyota made this such an involved process. It would be way more efficient to have the trailer wiring plug and play with the taillight wiring.

Thank you all for the great replies  it make my Friday so much more entertaining

Here's some ideas that I might have missed .
1- de badge your truck and enjoy it .
2- leave early then you won't have to rush.
3- be grateful you did not buy a ford or dodge !!!! Just kidding there good for land fill oops sorry.

1- sell , trade and take your time making you next choice your last truck purchase did not work out but someone will buy it and drive the shit
    out of it.

No. IMHO the best thing you can add to the 2.7 is a throttle amplifier and use ECT. I have no issues with drive-ability at all.

How do you know that the 2.7 is far more reliable?

...and also a tow truck to pull it up hills.

Should have bought the V6! Ah, hah hah! (Source: I test drove the "gutless turd" 4 banger and decided against it very quickly! Decided to not be cheap and get the V6! Not a second's worth of regret. :D )
