How much has the price gone up?

Hi all,
Not currently a Tacoma owner but looking to be. I am looking to purchase my first taco. I am curious how much the prices have gone up lately. Is anybody buying right now? It looks like an SR5 will run you about 37k and an OR about 41k. Is this crazy compared to what everybody else paid? I am concerned that if I wait until covid is over that my trade (15 wrangler) will go down dramatically. I was offered 24k for it and honestly don’t know if that will remain after covid or not. So I am curious if you all think now is a bad time to buy or just ride it out and see what happens. I appreciate any help and input.

 

Had a friend that recently lucked out and found a new Tacoma. It’s an SR5 that cost less than every used 3rd gen they had on the lot.

 

They aren’t on the lot but they are available. You just have to reserve it before it is built. I am just unsure if those are the fair prices. If people tell me they paid like 32 for an SR5 at the beginning of the year, I’ll know the prices skyrocketed due to the shortage.

 

The good news is if you order one you can get only the things you want and not pay for things you don’t. Bad news you will pay MRSP. I got a base OR for 37,300. last month. It was my first new Tacoma, third overall. Used prices are crazy.

Trust me I’m sooo close to selling it as we have our second kid on the way. Dealer offered me 37.5 trade in and I have 16k on the clock. Just can’t buy anything else lol
