Draw an imaginary vertical line through the center of the bump stop all the way to the axle. It should hit the center of the axle. If not, your axle "walked off" during the instalation. Typically, the axle goes towards the back of the truck and you'll see the center of leaf pack seats about 1" or more of the center line. Also you may see a gap between axle and the bottom leaf of the pack

OK, I think that is what my husbo was talking about doing. He wants to take the tires off and "drop the springs" or something like that. Maybe reseat them? I think we are going to do that tomorrow. Thank you!

Pictures may not even show it. Just being a quarter inch off will cause tracking issues. But without measuring it, visual observations can be very difficult unless you exposed a rust line on the spring or something similar. Loosening ubolts and jiggling things is a good start. That is how my truck was fixed.

That would explain why he wants to take measurements!

Is the bed crooked then making the axel look like it shifted?

Here is the leaf spring pin on the drivers side. It’s banged up and scraped up. Got some jagged metal at the bottom.

You should be able to measure from the center of the front hub to the center of the back axle hub from side to side. That should give you an idea if the axle is square.

Is the OP sure she's not chasing a ghost? I'd put it back together and find a different alignment shop that's not a chain.

Measuring devices are only as good as the person operating them

    Yeah.
Pics of the driver's side clearly show a gap between axle and spring.

He’s measuring from the front of the axel tube to center off leaf spring perch bolt.
