Local Ford Dealer called me today and told me that they just purchaced my old F250 I traded in at the Toyota Dealer!
    I said "So?"
Ford Dealer said: Why did you buy a Toyota and get rid of your F250 so soon, didn't you like it?
    I said "No"
Ford Dealer said: Its strange that you went from a F250 to a mini pickup.
    I said: Thats my choice
Ford Dealer said: I could have sold you a Ford Ranger
I said: Ford Rangers are junk, you even told me so when I was buying the F250!
To get rid of him off my phone I told him I got rid of my F250 cause of higher gas prices and the way it sucked gas, to get out of the $600+ loan payment, the F250 was just too big, hard to park, hard to drive, and I got rid of the F250 now cause when gas prices go higher and higher it will be worth less and less and I don't want to be stuck with a worthless truck that nobody wants and I can't sell or trade it in, the Toyota gets almost double the gas mileage, is reliable and has an excellent resale value.
Ford Dealer said: So,, you're just cheap?
I said: YES! cheap,, BUT SMART!

note: I was one of their best customers, in the past I have purchaced 4 new trucks from this Ford Dealer, 03 F150, 05 F150, 09 F150 and 11 F250

You let him harras and insult you? The second he called me cheap I would have torn him a new asshole. Don't call ME on my phone and insult me. It's extremely unprofessional.

A call like that is horseshit to begin with. It's nobodies business when you choose to get rid of your vehicle but yourself.

If you need a 3/4 ton truck it doesn't matter how much gas costs or what kind of mileage it gets. A Tacoma isn't going to replace it.

Haha, should have replied: "not as cheap as your trucks."

But would have hung up on him after 10 seconds.

When I was looking for my truck, I stopped at a Dodge dealership looking to see if they had any used Tacoma's. The dealer came walking through the lot and stopped me to ask what I was wanting. I told him I was looking for a used Tacoma and he started piling it on! He said " Oh, your looking for a junky truck, and going to support terrorism! We don't have any of those, we are true American's here! " I was hoping his foot was near my tires as I drove out of there. I will never own a Dodge again, that worthless piece of shit! :brianr:

you're right! I do haul coal and firewood, but I use my truck for commuting the majority of the time, I can still haul with my Tacoma but smaller loads, I maybe haul 4 loads per year.

I drove a Ford for about a week, before finally deciding to go with my new Tacoma. I am certainly glad I went with the Tacoma, but I will say that I bought my last truck (1994 Ford Ranger V6) in 1997 and now my daughter is the proud owner of that rig. Other than being a little hard on gas that truck gave me everything it had. Must have been luck of the draw with that old thing, but it has served me well.

    Looking!

I think the F150s are pretty good trucks, but have to disagree about the Ranger. My 1994 Ranger gave me excellent service. After 199,960 miles I sold it and bought my 2010 Tacoma AC, but that was only because I wanted to, and could finally afford it.

this is ridiculous, bring this up to HQ, report it to media, and let everyone in the world knows that Ford harasses their customers

EDIT: Ford has General Liability coverage. Sue for distress and mental anguish

Thats exactly what I understood. How do you jump from a F250 to a Tacoma. I just happened to own one, and use it to tow my boat or camper, and use my Tacoma for the rest of my needs. Maybe that was the guy's question, or something in that line.
    Take care

the funny thing is that I bet the F250 gets about the same mpg as the tacoma... tacomas are not fuel efficient...
