With just axle shafts the camburg race kit which is the most comparable to JDs it's 100 bucks cheaper than JDs with their 934 axles. Hell the trail series with heimed UCAs and shafts, still uses stock joints is the same as JDs with 934s. Both it's still highly recc. to get the UCA gussets, spindle gussets and steering upgrade or in Camburgs case their 1500 spindles, etc. I'll say this put everything in the cart and see. Plus Camburg doesn't offer their race kit with a different CO unless you call other than ones with adjusters which IMO are kinda gimicky. Their NEW trail series I doubt pulls #s like their race series with a longer CO especially when the std UCA has a bushing and not heims. IMO also the inner dual unibal that JD does on their CAs with seals is far superior to a heimed one especially when it comes to longevity. Like I said it sounds like that guy was trying to "sales" engineer you. I'd of called them out on that stuff especially since all the pricing and stuff is right there on their website. The trail kit doesn't come with straps and they seem pretty aggressive with a 4.75" BS wheel. Funny the trail series +2 is more expensive in the end and you get less and it appears to use the short factory replacement COs but they claim that much travel. If you have to buy COs the Trail series will be more expensive since the factory style replacement COs are much more than a basic off the shelf universal.

    Here's what I spent plus
1100 for the 934s, like 900 for the LCA pivots, and 370+shipping welded up by JD for the spindle gussets and outer steering, I got in on the first production run of these and the GB so I got them cheap. You can add the 1200 for a tundra rack too as that was part of my complete front upgrade.
So if I'm doing my maths right that's just over 8g for a very capable front suspension. This doesn't include all the shipping and stuff which still will put me around 8500 total invested for the front.

the helmed arms are availed just bushing come standard, he wasn’t trying to sell me because he says he makes stuff for both companies and he even said he was probably going to get the jd kit lol. So I don’t think he was trying to sell me on camburg. I just like the idea is all I’m saying. When the time comes I’ll see. I just kinda don’t want to deal with selling coils and waiting for new ones to come in but maybe when a year passes it will be different.

I saw the heimed uppers were an option. Just saying the Trail kit ends up being a lot more in the end for something that I really don't think they are pulling those #s with unless you do a lot to them like 8" COs and non factory inner joint axles. Most LT companies will advertise the max travel but what they don't tell you is most of it is droop or that you need these other supporting components to really those #s. You have to really read between the lines.

Hahaha the Tundra rack, LCA pivots, spindle gussets, and 934s were all bought last yr. The rest of that 5500 bucks I've paid as I received the stuff. With less than 1/2 down. I didn't even ask for that Harry just did it. Hell I've gotten stuff and haven't paid yet with the gentleman's handshake of I know you're good for it.

If my before and after measurements are half decent I will have 3-4” more droop at the wheel now. That’s strapped conservatively before the UCA ball joint maxes out. Could have more bump if I switched to hydros and mounted them up higher. May do that in the future.

There's a guy in the thread with a 4runner with one. After initially being involved with them I'd never spend a dime with them zero trust.
Yep it's very tricky. I was nieve to that as well until I started really reading and paying attention to the LT thread and what those guys were doing now I'm savvy enough to see certain things but still am on a steep learning curve. Once I get mine in and start testing I'll really see.
Right but the way JD set up the upper mount with the CO being higher than others on the market it's meant to take advantage of some bump other companies aren't getting.

I doubt he does that for everyone but me and Harry have a pretty good relationship. Like he's told me some new projects they are working on for these trucks that NO ONE has done. I already told him sign me up take my money. Plus the changes to the inner fenders are going to be sweet especially for us that are so far away with shipping and stuff.

Yeah it’s just the wheelers bumps or rather the stock location that are keeping the bump travel limited. Tons of travel available with those coil overs.

Yep I'm going to really push mine to the limit at which the kit is possible where stuff binds. But you would of never guessed that.

Haha figured that. You’ll have some more room to work with on the +4 kit. If I don’t strap it, the cv shaft damn near makes contact with the LCA as the ball joint maxes out. But with the 934 it still turns without binding.

That's why there is that cup in the LCA to clear the CV and get you a little more GC.

Yeah it keeps everything nice and tucked up. Lots of attention to detail and well thought out. If Fox had sent the right misalignment spacers I’d be rolling around right now…

Meh all good king forgot my bumps. But I'm also gonna buy a few different springs and play around until I find what I like. Then it'll be onto tuning the valving.

I went with 600’s this time. Curious to see how they ride. Feel like I could probably have gone to 550s, but we will see. If I was any lighter up front it’d be a no brainer.
