    Hi all,

Just picked up a 2021 SR 4x4. I'd like to add mud flaps asap. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    TacoMike18,
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "fender flares", but here's a twin to my SR.
Does this taco have fender flares?

I got the WeatherTech set for my 2020 SR. My truck has no flares and WT was basically the only company (I could find) that make flaps for Tacos with no flares. They're really nice and solid... No drill, the use the factory bolts. took me about 20 minutes to install.

BMH, that's a good looking truck. May I ask what make and model is your cap? I've been thinking of something similar for a little extra headroom.

SR and the base SR5 trims do not come with fender flares. The only exception would be the SR SX and it does come with flares.

It's a SnugTop 'Sport Highliner' ... I got it for the little bit of extra room. The extra 4" or so doesn't sound like much, but it does make a difference.
It's pretty nice for a shell. Carpet on the inside with a dome light. The front window folds down so you can clean the outside of that window or the window on the cab. It bolts down to the tie-down rails in the bed, so no holes drilled. And you can close/lock the rear window from the inside.
$2800 ... Not bad at all.

Sorry I can’t answer your question about mudflaps (though I’ve heard good things about the RokBlokz. But are you hauling some Labradors around? I was thinking of getting a somewhat similar custom plate for my future Tacoma! Lol

the SR5 and up trucks have fender flares to account for the slightly wider tires. SRs do not have them. That will effect how the mud flaps are molded.

highly recommend weather tech mud flaps. Have them on my SR. Takes about 15 minutes to install the set. No drilling and comes with all hardware. They’re kinda pricey but it’s worth the money. They can take a pretty good beating too unlike other universal eBay flaps I’ve had before.

I'll second the Weathertechs. Been running them for 3.5 years and run on 3 miles of rocky dirt road daily. Easy install, perfect fit, and durable. Make sure you get them for "no flares" if you buy them. They are different.

Tried many others flat mud flaps before going with Weathertech, the only molded fit flaps for SR Tacoma without fender flayers. Make sure you order the ones for no fender flayers, they are harder to find. ordered mine direct from Weathertech fits great and looks stock.

I have been hauling labs around in various "LABWAGN"s for 27 years and can't imagine my life without a lab riding shotgun.

Thank you! Our favorite season (bird hunting season) is just around the corner and we're looking very forward to it.

How does your lab get in and out of truck. I mean can he jump that high depending on his age. I know my 10 year old German Shepherd needs a ramp.

Rek Gen is a great choice for a SR.
