I’m trying to purchase the rear skid like you have but I guess due to trouble dealers have had with damage in shipping they are shipping freight and charging $250.
Ive told a few of the dealers no way I’m paying that much for shipping

Found a company to ship it for $75 so went that route. 8 week lead time though, bummer. CBI pretty back logged

Well the price of the aluminum rear skid, bare, is $499. Just do some searching around and see what you can find including shipping.

Glad I found this thread as I recently discovered that the OEM TRD front skid can be used with the CBI rear and fits pretty damn well!

Seems like prices have gone up since these posts from last year... $920 MSRP now for the aluminum, powder-coated TRD grey with a 6 week lead time?!

I just got mine bare. Looks good, cheaper and so far even in winter it’s not doing anything to it. I am keeping it clean though washing it off after the salt and snow. I paid $574 and free shipping from off road tents July 2021. Basically it was $499 $75 ship

I gave up on CBI and their shipping fees years ago. When things cost more to ship, than the item itself

I’m perfectly happy with my full RCI aluminum skids and $100 in shipping.

Just have to catch it on sale. From what I understand they had so much trouble with UPS damaging stuff they had to start going a different route

Here is an under shot and also a pic of the truck from the side. If you blow it up you can then from the side a bit.

If you blow up the under side pic it’s back to front. The very front is the factory TRD Pro skid

I have a TRD pro skid plate on my 2021 ORAC and a Talons Garage catalytic/skid plate. They fit well together. I have an order an RCI transfer case skid plate which looks like it will match up just fine.

IMG_7231.jpg Everyone still happy with their CBI Skids? How thick is the aluminum option?

Was worried about shipping costs until I realized they’re literally a mile down the street from me.. lol

Artec makes a beautiful set but the cost….

    Aluminum is 1/4"

It's great for "oh shit" moments. If you're crawling rocks, get steel.

Definitely more for a miscalculation on my part than as a strategy

yup, plenty happy with mine. Even without shipping/freight, CBI prices are nuts these days. I have the front and rear in aluminum and steel fuel tank skid.

Seems like they’re all pretty pricey $1000-$1500. I also like the C4 Fabrication set. But they only come in steel and you still have to powder coat them.
