I did the same thing. Drove my Taco carrying 6 cats a dog and my wife and daughter. made here to Gods country in less than three days. you will notice over time that people are more friendly and also you will notice the return of those little chips of freedom that have been taken from you in CA over the past 30 years.
I have had many compliments on my tacoma since being here. There are many of them around. welcome to freedomland! OH!, and if you want to carry, I reccomend getting the enhanced permit. The "constitutional" carry rules limit you.

 

Yea we plan on leaving 8/7 and getting to our new home 8/12. Stopping along the way.

I've already got rid of the stupid AR mods.

Will look into any permits for carrying, I'll probably only carry when hiking or camping so we will see.


Not sure about how Murfreesboro really is sociopolitically, any insight? We wanted to be near Nashville for obvious reasons, but I did not want to even be in the same county of a big city and deal with those politics...For example when TX dropped their mask mandates, Cities like Houston and their counties fought back...Not having that...

Murfreesboro does a bit young and growing fast, hoping it won't become another Nashville or worse, Memphis.....lol

as far as Memphis goes, it really depends on what part of town, but generally the farther east you go, the better it gets.

If they still have not opened the I40 bridge between AR and Memphis... good luck. It's supposed to be open again by then, but we'll see.

So things in San Diego started going downhill when the Chargers left for LA...We travelled to away game, one of them to watch them get beat by the Titans in the final 1 mins back in 2014. Everyone was very nice to us unlike the people in New Jersey.....

It was a very good experience, similar to New Orleans, another bunch of good folks!

On your drive, East of Memphis, scan the radio for banjo music every hour for about 2 minutes. When you hit banjo music slow down and look for a place to live. Pro Tip: Never speak of Kali when you get here - if you feel the need to speak just exclaim "Woooo Feels like '98!" and someone might gift you with a moonpie.

This lean was from a week ago. Had my new suspension put on back in March with an alignment. Just took it to get an alignment + balance and rotate. Seems to have fixed it for now. Anyone seen this? Hopefully it doesn’t have anything to do with the UCAs?
