I LOVE that! My wife and I have a 1.5 year old yellow lab that our lives revolve around. Haha. They really are “man’s best friend.”

He's pushing 10 years old now. About the only time he needs help up (according to me, not him) is after a hard hunt.
Out of habit I always lift my labs out of the truck regardless of their age.
Just my opinion, but sparing the dog several thousands front shoulder impacts by helping him/her down can only help protect a dogs shoulders. In my opinion this helps extend a hunting dogs hunting years by minimizing impact-related shoulder damage.

Also recommend Rekgens. I have had them for about a year no issues. Stiff enough to not flap around but still with enough flex to give in certain situations.
