Overhead rattle

2020 TRD Sport. The overhead console with sunglass/map lights is rattling and driving me crazy!!! I drive around with radio loud or my right hand applying pressure to make it stop. Help!!!

 

take it out and put friction tape or anti rattle tape around all of the clips holding it in the put it back in

 

Thank you very much been looking for this fix been dealing with this issue for a minute now, today for some reason it was driving me nuts and had to fix it. But now I do so tomorrow I will be fixed.

 

Warranty?

 

Take you sunglasses out.

 

LOL, l was thinking the same thing.

 

Mine does the same, I press the liner back up with my right hand and it stops. Annoying but I’ll likely never fix it. I’ve got other noises that need to be addressed unfortunately

 

Well I taped all of the clips in but the rattle noise is still there, i don't keep sunglasses up in the holder so and yes its still under warranty but you know as always when you bring it in they said the tech didn't hear any noise. I think this weekend I'm going to remove it again a check it out and I'll report back to you all later.

Had an overhead rattle in the overhead console area. Popped the console out, and found a plastic “ring” on the inside not glued down.

Put a piece of red backed 3M tape under it and no more rattle. Not sure if yours has the same type of overhead console or not.

 

i don't see any plastic rings anywhere
