I played yesterday, so today is catching up. Wet lawn and mowing, hope that the weather is going to cooperate.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
One bad thing -- it is not used anymore --now is just a tourist attraction. Years ago I went to a boxing match inside the "walls" with a friend and his dad who was a guard there. I was more impressed with all of the bullet holes in the walls of the hallways than the boxing match.
The bullet holes were from the 1954 riot which I remember happening, when the whole night sky was lit up from the fires the inmates started during the uprising. it was a big one, and we lived only 6-8 blocks away.
Ironically the man ( actually surviving heirs) who we bought our home from (49 yrs. ago), was the prison Dr. there (Dr. Hugh Maxey). He was investigated after the MLK killing for being involved in the planning of that crime. He died before anything could be proven about his involvement. If only our home's walls could talk!

Sadly most of the old school penitentiaries are closed down now. Too “harsh” of conditions for the inmates now  Cool backstory on your house.

Sorry but I need to vent or else I'm going to pull out what's left of my hair.
Recently our primary caregiver for our 3 year old son needed a minor surgery and is going to be out for 4-6 weeks so we're looking on a sitter website for backup. I just hired a girl and after a 4 day training period I made it very clear that reliability is crucial because once I book a job I have people moving their furniture out so I can sand their wood floors so I have to follow through. Sure enough I just received a text letting me know what days she won't be available this week - not asking me but telling me. These girls use the sitter website like a dating service constantly looking for the next best thing, and they have no concept of ethics or that we're paying them to help us not paying them to complicate our lives. Not to mention that we don't want to be introducing our son to a bunch of random people.

I've been a flooring contractor for 16 years and I've never had a negative review. Not to say that I haven't had difficult situations but I always follow through and do whatever it takes to make my clients happy.
And If I book a minimum paying job for the week and another client calls me with a potentially big job with a big payday I would never cancel on the other person and that's why I have the reputation that I have.
    F'n millennials!!

Stick to your ethics and find a sitter that will do the same.
