They'll have limited access to my money then. It's like they are trying really hard to make me pick something other than a Tacoma. I'm not paying up to $40 000 for a cab and color I don't care about.

There are plenty of extended cab Ford, GM and Dodge pick-ups in Canada, so there is clearly a demand for trucks with more bed and less cab. I think it's just the Toyota dealerships that are leaving access cab behind in favor of 4 doors. If they never have any on the lot, obviously there's no sale.

The blue from Lexus would look better than blue crush. The gray from the upcoming IS 500, would also look good on a Toyota truck. Maybe that will be the 2022 Tundra Pro color. The IS 500 5.0, would also look good on a Toyota truck.

Why are the larger displacement engines reserved for passenger cars, and the smaller displacement engines with turbos reserved for the trucks? People are not going to tow a trailer with an IS.

    Maybe.

For 2021 the OR came in the same colours for AC and DC didn't they?

The Sport had more colours though. Windchill or Blizzard white. Barcelona Red.

All the current Toyota blues for reference.

    Galactic Aqua Mica (my favorite):

    Blue crush (2022 Tacoma):

Blueprint (this one is really dark in person, almost black):

    Night Fall Mica:

    Ultrasonic Blue Mica:

Blue Flame (I actually like this one, it's a slightly lighter shade of Cavalry blue. It would look great on a pickup):

    Voodoo blue (heading out)

    Vomit:

Blue Crush reminds me of Stellar Blue Pearl on the 3rd Gen 4Runner — guess I’m in the minority, but I like it.

Man I love that Galactic aqua mica!

The Blueprint is super dark in person.

There are 3 there I would have chosen. Too bad the Blue Crush was the one they went with.

Don't get black as it will result in significantly hotter inside when parked in the sun...even in Canada.

When it comes time to sell my 2019 low kms TRD OR AC 6M/T, rare in Canada and non existent in the USA, I think will I advertise it in Craigslist Seattle...in about 10 or 15 years.:D

True, but at least black is timeless. You can't really get tired of it. Super white looks great, but has no clear coat which is a huge turn off. Magnetic grey is so dark it's almost black to me. That leaves little options. That's why I'm praying for Lunar rock making it to the TRD OR trim in Canada to replace cement. I prefer cement, but at least Lunar rock is somewhat unique and keeps the muted look that cement had.

The most frustrating part is that Nissan will have their equivalent of quicksand and cement on the new Frontier.

    Aha ! Thanks for that.

Guess that's why I missed it.... I never look for the short beds when searching.

Funny the option is missing on the one body style that would probably use it most....

    I've been running Silver Tacoma's since 1993....

o_O All this just when I was beginning to cozy up to Calvary Blue and Cement.

Damn Canada and their best trim option (OR/6MT/AC). Why Toyota, why?! :annoyed:

Sounds like all you need is an aftermarket rear locker and your AC 6M/T Sport is good to go.

Someday I'll pick up the whole OR rear axle from the scrappers with a barely used locker.

I once owned a 4Runner that I bought used and the rear locker was rusted inoperable probably from lack of use.

It would be great to see the nice brown from the Tundra's hit the Tacoma line.

I am suspecting that if the PRO comes in MGM I will go this route myself. Have had to many black trucks, my last Tacoma was Cement and I really liked it but that type of grey is popping up on so many little cars that I've lost my love for it, not that it's available anyway!

yeah 2014 and 2015. That color is very hard to find too. Speedway Blue, Indigo Ink Pearl, Nautical Blue Metallic, and Blue Ribbon Metallic were all 2nd gen colors. Speedway Blue seems to be the only blue color that actually sold well.

I agree. Wolf Gray on the Kia K5 is also very nice. I'm not a Kia person but the Stinger and K5 would look good with tacoma colors lol

MGM is a great color, looks killer on the Pro.
