I just picked up my 21 SR 4 Cyl 4x4 SR Utility Package.
SR does not come with a keyless system and the dealer also does not install any keyless system.
So I went to Best buy and installed Viper 1 way security system with keyless entry for $199
but the best buy technician took almost 4 hours to complete the job and seems like they are struggling to install this unit on the newly 2021 model. The finish was not great plastic on the handle was not placed correctly so I end up took the vehicle back and I found out today that NONE of the SIGNAL lights was working at all. Now I am very worried that they already destroy my new vehicle wiring system. Should I take the vehicle again to best buy to fix this? or take it to the dealer? I am pretty sure the dealer will either refuse to work on this and even they do it will be $150/hr. Any recommendation?

Make best buy make it right. U paid the "Professionals" for a reason. Not so some hack could fuck your brand new vehicle up.

$199 sounds cheap for something that needs to integrate and work with the truck electronics . Kinda like a $5.00 dollar pizza - I don't want one of those either. They should fix it.

Best Buy probably already damaged your wiring and now you need to get them to correct it. Unfortunately you get what you pay for and the tech at the big box store isn't to most qualified around

Love 5 dollar pizzas! To OP, do not go to the dealer, as they will most likely kill your warranty.

Best buy installers are probably less capable than the Russian monkey that went into space.

    Find a good shop.

I put this on my SR, it's designed for the Tacoma.
Hopefully you can get Best Buy to remove the Viper without causing any more damage.
I realize not everyone has electrical experience but do some more research and find a competent shop.
This is one area where it is imperative to look beyond price in order to get a satisfactory result and no damage to your truck. The underdash wires are thin and fragile, I'm hoping there is only a break and not a short somewhere.

    Screenshot_20210801-011431_Amazon Shopping.jpg

I installed two systems, one on my truck and one on my son's. I've had mine for 2.5 years now and it works perfect. I only connected the the horn chirp so I could locate the truck in a parking garage, did not connect the flashing park lights.

One last thing, after Best Buy removes the system ensure there are No issues with your electrical system and full functionality is restored. ** Don't immediately install another system. **
As your truck is new Best Buy will be liable for necessary repairs now.
    >> Toyota will kick the can over to Best Buy as they mucked with your truck.<<

Good luck getting this all sorted out. Unfortunately I see this becoming an expensive headache.

Maybe call store manager and nicely request an experienced tech look at it, or see if they'll foot the bill at the dealer.
Not trying to pile on, but $199, come on man

Best Buy is supposed to cover any damage or whatever they do that doesn’t work right. Is in their install page notes. They probs tapped into something to power the actuators and causing the gremlins. Like your lights. Check the fuse. Maybe overloaded the circuit they tapped.
Trace their wiring and see if the hacked into a harness.

I took the vehicle to best buy and they tried to figure out for 4 hours and they almost give up. Now best buy saying it is not their fault they did what they suppose to do. Oh my God now I have to take this to small claims court. It was clearly the vehicle was in brand new conditions.

Or N2 Designs. Jimmy is very helpful with his support and is a member on this forum. I installed on my 2019 and recently moved it to my 2021. No issues. Wiring is plug and play and you can do it yourself. They make them for both key FOB and regular key and use Fortin modules (Evo-All or Evo-One depending on your start type).
