Anybody trade from an SR/SR5/TRDS/TRDOR/Pro to a Limited?

Was it worth the upgrade? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Limited stocked locally here. Forgot they even existed.

Going from a loaded Sport, OR, or Pro to a Limited really isn’t an upgrade.

No. I really like my SR the way it's configured.

Basically just a bunch of chrome.

It would be trading down from a Pro to a limited. I’ve only seen a few limited Tacoma’s and definitely not a fan of chrome. I think the Off Roads and Sports look better. Just my opinion.

I drove a Limited and didn't like it at all. Once I got past the chrome it just didn't drive well. Bought a loaded OR for a little more.

I see a lot of people with Limiteds trying to get rid of all the chrome. Which makes me wonder why they picked that trim specifically

I wouldn't really consider it an upgrade as much as just serving a different niche.

And the worst wheel / tire setup in the entire Tacoma lineup, should the owner decide to leave the safety of pavement for adventure.

Well there is a Limited nightshade version out there. The limited is only a fancy SR5, it even uses the same shocks. I would get a loaded TRD off-road any day over a limited.

I ordered a "loaded" OR LB (minus the MTM) and for my intended use a limited would have been just fine but I couldn't get past all the chrome & grill. So I spent a little more and got more truck than I need and won't be annoyed by its appearance.

Going from a Pro to a Limited is a downgrade IMO. I think the Limited is a glorified SR, and the Sport and OR look so much better.

I'd just get the upgraded SR5 and call it good.

technically the trd sport and off road are slotted below the Limited with only the Pro being above. Sorta like how Chevy has Z71, LTZ then ZR2.

I don’t go off road it’s just not my thing. I’ve had more than a few nasty encounters lol. Just need the rig to haul and drive on the street these days.

do the Sports drive better than SR/SR5/Ltds? My SR drives like what I think a truck would drive like... but never been in a OR/Sport. Considering trading in for a new unused Taco once this whole supply chain catches back up.

Limited caught my eye. I’ll rarely if ever leave pavement. Heated leather seats, push button start...geez starting to sound like a Lexus. I don’t mind the chrome. TRD Sport would be nice too. Figure it’s probably easier to just find a Limited with a long bed than trying to find a specific package on a TRD truck.

The Sport and OR, you can get leather and push button start also. You’re just better off test driving them to see what you like the best.

easy to find if you want fully loaded features
TRD Sport and OR can be optioned to the max and get to the exact same level of limited, but it's harder to find such vehicle in search websites

I never understood the purpose of the limited trim on the Tacoma. At least the limiteds on the 4runner get a different front end and full time 4wd. They should have at least thrown in an auto-4wd setting or full-time 4wd for the Limited Tacoma.

I like how the Limited’s only options is drive train, bed cover and bed length. Too many damn packages available on the TRDs.

a TRD Sport fully loaded would be nice, but the chances of finding one of those even pre corona was low. It’s usually some middle package that has stuff I really don’t care for.
