Just had the latest KDMAX flashed. Shout out to Allan: @xXgOdLyXjEwXx. Hooked me up and answered all my questions (millions of questions).

Initial thoughts-better than I anticipated (premium 91-95 tune with LT). I have a a 21 sport with the latest ECU update from Toyota (never knew what earlier transmission bs you guys had to put up with, my apologies). Even with the 21, I always felt the truck raced through gears and would continually bog itself down. Forcing me to floor it and it would drop down two gears and rev the f*** out. It never felt like it was in the right gear. So frustrating on a brand new truck. Now it is butter baby! The smoothness and throttle response are what I notice the most. When I hit the gas the truck doesn’t need to drop down gears, it has the power and response to speed up naturally. It holds highway speeds much easier. As people have stated, the truck “feels lighter.” This is what it was meant to feel like from the factory. Get your s*** together Toyota. Can’t help but smile every time I drive it. I see other Tacomas and feel bad if they are missing out.
Also, huge shout out to the creators and @PapaRee in particular for answering all of my questions (within literally a minute of asking. Top notch service folks!). Just get it already if you’re on the fence. Will update as I put more miles on the tune.

Chicago is about 3.5 -4 hours from me. Not a bad drive, let me know when you finalize your schedule.

    Thanks

I want to give a big thank you and thumbs up to @trdquoc for his KDMAX service this past weekend. LT regular w/ AGM is the shizz. It holds gears like I want it to with no more hunting up or down. The drive out of the LA basin heading back up to the Hi-Desert was AWESOME with the new tune. Your customer service and informative responsiveness are top notch and much appreciated.

Crazy how most of these guys have the LT tune.. idk if it’s just me but the regular aggressive tune seems pretty normal to me.. not jerky.. shit I would even entertain a step above regular aggressive tune.. “Scotty I Need More Power” @PapaRee @TWTaco

    Different strokes for different folks.

    Without gears…
Stock guys run usually wife tip or SLT
    33’s usually SLT/LT
    35’s usually LT/Regular

I did LT. I think that’s best since I can hit ECT and get the regular tip in if I want. Figure I get the best of both with having the option at the push of a button.

Whens KDMaxx turbo version coming? Lol. I got the regular aggressive throttle now. I tried it with the ect power button on for the hell of it the other day and it ran better than it ever has. Spun the tires pulling away from a stop sign by my house.
