Skid plates from the wife’s 4Runner I’m replacing before we sell it. Amazing what 10 years in Maine will do to a car.

 

On a related note.... just finished cleaning up after FFing... so much easier to do when it's hot out, instead of waiting 'til the end of October like I usually do...

I’m going to wool wax this one for the new owner plus figure out what to put on the new one. 2020 with 8700 miles I’d like it to last.

It taste nothing like cherry, trust me on this one. I'm somewhat of an expert

 

Might attract bees in the summer.

 

Last time I tasted it it was more like a girls a$$ -- wait, have I just said too much...

 

But think of the improvement in gas mileage

 

I removed ours before taking it to a shop for undercoat. (Mine I purchased the tin off craigslist, and fuel tank other) then I just coated those pieces separately before putting back on. Rust, yep it can destroy a vehicle even if the drivetrain has life left.

 

I hear people on here knock Ziebart but here's my experience; mid 70's Buick Regal I purchased used in the early 90's. You know how when you purchase or drive a vehicle you notice more of them? Well every single Buick, Monte Carlo, similar years was total rust bucket! That one I was driving was rock solid. Had Ziebart plugs throughout. The wifes 01 DC TRD OR, was Ziebart treatment a few days after purchase. When traded 10 years later that frame was rock solid.
That was the only Ziebart within 300 miles or more and the guy retired and closed shop. Now I take new vehicle to Ming. Ming not as good but better than nothing.

Edit to add, my grandfather used that same Ziebart dealer since the late 60's or early 70's I believe. His 77 Ford F150 sold for what he paid or more in like 1993. Stuff seems to work well for Nebraska road chemicals in winter.

 

I have never had a vehicle wear out, they rust out from under me.

 

I would like to see an under hood picture to back up the "Supercharged" decal on the dashboard.

 

Reducing friction is always a bonus!

 

That looks like a better deal than a 4runner posted the other day sold for 31k!
