And the sea of reeds thing makes it even more of a miracle to me anyways because all of those Egyptians drowned in about 6 inches of water then. what a crappy army.

Bill Maher is a genius of wit and conversation. I think exactly in line with him but his gift to communicate his beliefs is amazing. Anyone who subscribes to the practice of rational thought is incapable of disagreeing with virtually any words that leave his mouth in that movie.

just about black everything. i don't dig the chrome.
everyone should care what their neighbor believes. that's why we are all here talking about a subject so passionate to each and every one of us. Penn of Penn and Teller (if you don't who they are, look it up) was handed a pamphlet on a certain religion, explaining why he should believe in God. as he thought to himself, he appreciated the gesture more and more. he wondered why was this the first time it had ever happened. why would others so passionate about their faith, not care enough about his soul to inform him that they believe he is headed down the wrong path.

we should all have that same mentality. if i feel a non-believer should start believing, its my duty as an ambassador to my religion to tell him so. if an atheist is so caring about his own religion, or lack there of, and feels i'm wasting my time with God, its his duty as an ambassador to his religion to tell me what he believes.

who's right or wrong is not for us to decide, but it is our responsibility to tell others what we feel will save them.

ok off of my soap box and on to the next argument....

I agree with you. As I've said before I think false beliefs can be dangerous. One common example is people who think they can fly. Kids are often injured when they incorrectly calculate the forces of their bath towel 'parachute' relative to their weight.

I guess I should appreciate people trying to save me from what they think is eternal torment. And I hate to see someone gunned down because of the religiously inspired belief abortion is murder. One cannot always calculate the harm a false belief will cause, but it is an article of faith to me that false beliefs create an additional risk of harm.

Agnostics are the biggest pussies of all. To claim not enough knowledge to make a decision, or can't decide for fear of pissing off someone, or that the answer is unknowable... Grow a set and decide for yourself!
There is information aplenty out there. Follow faith or science, but don't confuse the two, and be able to justify your choice.
Anyone who approaches this topic with due diligence will be in one camp or the other.
    Otherwise you're just butt-lazy.

If anyone wants an authoritative book on the subject, try Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion. An atheist (THE Atheist to some), he showers scorn mainly on Agnostics, not the religous. A great book.

The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution is even better explaining evolution and meeting some of the spurious claims suggested by creationists.

Here's one for you."Ambam's father Bitam used to display the same behaviour if he had handfuls of food to carry," said Ridges. "Ambam also has a full sister, Tamba, and a half sister at Howletts (another British nature park), who also sometimes stand and walk in the same way." Walking upright is being passed down through generations. Evolution? Bring on the naysayers.

I know enough to know that no one knows everything. Especially not enough to choose whether some higher power created us or which one did. For the most part I do believe that evolution is a fact, with there being some slight chance of a higher power out there. It's not about being lazy or growing a set, it's thinking beyond what's force fed to you throughout your life and thinking for yourself actually, but thanks, have a nice day, carry on. If two groups form up, and someone decides not to join either group they're labeled, as you would say a, "pussy." Ok.
