"The" throttle body spacer? There are many. All of them are complete bullshit.

Both. Modern EFI engines would need an adjustment to the calibration ("tune") even if the spacers did anything useful. The factory calibration is setup to be nominal for the intake plenum volume, runner length and pressure wave tuning of the OEM hardware. adding a spacer will at best do nothing, at worst it will hurt. If changing the torque curve and torque peak location on the curve is your goal, a TB spacer might be part of the formula along with charges to the factory ECU calibration/tune and exhaust side hardware changes. The factory intake manifold is a variable length runner design, too, which complicates how increasing the plenum volume changes things.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Throttle body spacer does nothing. Plenum spacers can help torque. That’s about it. But the trade off with plenum spacers is the loss of top end due to longer intake runners.

Moral of the story? Save the money on a spacer and just put it into suspension/boost/audio… anything other than a spacer…

Save your money, throttle body spacers only work for throttle body fuel injection or carbonated engines. They serve no purpose in engines that are multi port, or direct port as ours. I guess if your into hearing some spacers make whistling sound like having a supercharger on the engine that's another thing.
