I’m glad to see my fellow LE types took care of the trouble makers and treated you nicely. The guy with the ATV was smart to apologize and keep it quiet for the rest of the weekend. I assure you the FS cop had made up his mind to take enforcement action before he made contact with him. Like he said, their attitude and response determines exactly WHAT type of enforcement action we take. I’m sure he told all his buddies about the guy too just in case he wanted to blow him off and do donuts again.

Cute girls in shorts usually don’t get the pat down. It’s easy enough to see you don’t have a gun on you and no cop want to be the next YouTube/CNN sensation for inappropriate behavior. As far as not worrying about your bear spray, most cops have been sprayed with OC enough (pepper spray) we’re somewhat immune to it. It will close my eyes but it takes about a minute and a half before it really causes problems. He could probably get you in cuffs if you did spray him with your bear spray and you would have gotten a deluxe ride in the back seat! Lol

Not playing with the siren was kind of poor form unless there were a lot of people around. Or his boss may have been one of the other units in the area.

How about we buy you a fake beard to fit in and you go back to shaving your legs?:D

The OHV guy gave me his card, I was thinking of calling his office # and letting him know that I didn't hear a peep out of the group all weekend after he had his chat. He says he always gives people the worst-case scenario upfront (in this case $600+ in fines) and lets them choose their attitude accordingly. If they get mouthy he starts issuing tickets. Just proves he knows what he's doing and his tactics work.

Probably not much I could have hidden in a fanny pack anyways. Figured he'd a least ask me to hand over the spray while we were in the car.

There weren't many campers left by that time but there are cabins in the area and a FS office about 1/2 mile away from camp so still too many bystanders for the siren.

I didn't get a badge :pout: I'll ask for one next time I'm out there. After this summer I think I'm going to be on a 1st name basis with half the staff up there!

we have quite a few LEO friends. my son busted a road hunter shooting a deer on our property from his truck 2 yrs ago. he used his whole vacatiion day waiting and helping the game warden and sheriff. took off work to testify.guy folded when he saw us(I went, son was a little intimidated to face the guy, ughh not me was enjoying it) anyway our local game warden friend got him a junior badge as a joke. :rofl:me i wanted them to take the damn new Tundra he was in so i could buy it. lol.

    Good morning everyone :hattip:

Listening to it rain here and I’m sure if I listen hard enough I would hear the grass growing. No complaints, it’s better than a drought, and my tomatoes have been abundant and delicious!

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

I actually can't believe this is happening in Montana. LOL. I thought most of the State was pretty isolated from idiots. I guess they're everywhere. Well thanks for looking out for the parks. I'm sure they appreciate it. Even though I may never make it up there, I do.
