What I was saying is that it doesnt make any financial sense at all to produce low volume parts, the only way it would make any sense at all would be if they could parts share from other high volume models.

I really like my limited. I’m 51, and chose limited trim because I’d never had a fully loaded pickup. I wanted leather and sunroof. Chrome? Yeah not a big fan. I swapped out for color matched mirror covers and black fog light trim. With Silver, I’m ok with chrome door handles although I do wish they were color matched. Limited does not have the chrome bumper corners. I do like the look of the limited 18” rims and stock grille. If anything, I don’t look like every other taco with TRD Pro grille, raptor lights and Pro black rims.
Some high end audio guys diss the JBL but I’m ok with it. My wife had a loaded venza with JBL and I really enjoyed that option, that venza is one reason I really considered a Tacoma (always a full-size GM guy). I don’t off road, just wanted 4 wheel for snow…which I’d fine.

Sorry, no. Unless you've modified the suspension, the OR is not going to be softer on the street (The OR would be softer on the trail though).
    Aside from actually testing both:
To back that up, why would Toyota even offer a different suspension for the Limited, intentionally putting a rougher riding suspension on their street machine?

Pretty sure your limited has the same shocks as an SR5.

You actually have 4Runner TRD OR at your dealership? Because I couldn't find one anywhere, that's why I bought the Taco.

All that silver everywhere on the interior of the Limited 4Runners was vomit inducing.

Judging by your complete misunderstanding of appropriate suspension set-up and application I'm guessing you're a "luxury" car person. Cadillac or Lexus perhaps?

I got news for you...a good on-road suspension is stiffer to improve corner and braking. The SR5 suspension isn't rough, it's stiff. That cloud like luxury car feeling you're used to is not a good a suspension. It sacrifices handling to make granny happy.

Off-Road suspension has softer compression and rebound to absorb bumps. Which makes it feel softer. This however increases body roll, which causes cornering stability and speed to suffer.

It's ok, you're not a car guy, we get it. But sometimes you should shut-up and listen because there are people who know what they're talking about.

We've sold... 4? In the last month. They're scarce for sure, but we get 1-2 every month.

As far as mechanical stuff if you go from an OR or Pro is not an upgrade, quite the opposite. Limited is leaning more on to luxury. Now if you go from an SR to Limited it's a different story...

There's been a lot of posts saying that so I assume that is correct. I was under the impression that the Bilstein's were yellow and the Hitachi's were blue.
I just went out and looked at mine and they were black. No mfg name on them but the sticker says the usual high pressure caution in English and the rest in what I think is Spanish.
(Makes sense since it was built in Mexico)

There you go with the insults. Expected. No need to argue with your type.

"Car and Driver shared that the Toyota Tacoma Limited has a smoother and quieter ride than the off-road versions. The TRD Pro has a lifted suspension, beefy shock absorbers, and gnarly tires that come at the expense of pavement comfort."

When are they gonna release an unlimited Tacoma? Why would you want to be limited?

Do you want limited power and capabilities, or unlimited power and capabilities? Think on it.

Only thing dummer than calling a mass produced truck “limited” is putting “Toyota racing development” on the side of a somewhat gutless mid-size pickup.

The limited nightshade looks good, I'd like it better if it was available with out the moon roof. I could do with out the leather, but it does look good.

That is totally incorrect, take away the suspension for now and look at the wheels and tires. The Limited has 18" and the Off Road 16" so the OR has 2 inches more of sidewall to dampen the ride.

I wouldn't put too much stock in what C&D is saying, calling the Pro Tacoma's run of the mill street tires "Gnarly" is laughable.

I wanted the features of the Limited but no chrome. LOVE the sunroof. I wish I had a locker but I can add that if I want. I knew I was going to change out the suspension anyway and couldn't find an SR5 with every option the Limited had so........Lifted Limited Nightshade. Exactly what I wanted less a locker.

This looks A M A Z I N G. I love the look of limiteds/nightshades. I'm trying to get a Limited hickory interior into my ACLB OR and basically make it a Limited, but with crawl control and MTS and factory locker, and of course an access cab. Might throw a Pro badge on the back, but keep the stock OR grill, and put on a scooped hood, with a TRD Sport bedside sticker to confuse the fuck out of anyone who looks at it.

Are we really trying to argue that the OR doesn't have the softest suspension?
