I know this is comparing apples and Land Cruisers, but... I drove that distance with one fuel stop in a rented Nissan Altima. A 16 gallon tank and 40+mpg on the interstate. That's 600 miles on a tank. With the cruise set at 80, the engine was at like 2500 RPM.

I don't think my door-to-door time was much faster, though...

CVJ Axle lady is so rude.... I’ll talk to the two male employees and it’s always fine. But every conversation with her just leaves me annoyed afterwards.

I’m going to put an OEM rack in the 99. If my rack isn’t rebuildable as a core then I’m spending $650 on their rack when I can get a Toyota rack to my door for $550. Not worth the risk for the CVJ.

I’m exhausted with this IFS and not willing to risk an aftermarket Chinese rack going bad in 6 months.
