I have this same adapter. At first I was getting random reboots. The newest firmware seems to fix that.
There is no plug in the back of the head unit. I bought an adapter cable and a USB F to USB F with the plan to relocate the plug into the glove box.
The USB switch size is non standard so I also got the replacement Meso switch plate. It's not installed yet though.

My bad, I just saw the dollar amount at the top of the page. Have to scroll down to actually see the $75 price. I wonder how many that has scared off.

Yup, I have it. So far so good. I do get random disconnects after 2ish hours of use, but then it just reconnects immediately afterwards. I haven't updated firmware for it yet.
I designed that USB mux I mentioned before, but haven't actually built it yet. Turns out that my actual use case doesn't really need it. If I need to charge my phone, I just use one of the other non-media USB ports while my phone wireless connects to AA.

Glad its not just me that gets the random reboots. Did you change the DPI for split screen, or are you running the default? I wondered if this was causing it to reboot. I emailed them and they said to update the firmware, but the newest version still does it.

I'm just doing defaults. When it does reboot, I'm doing long road trips so I haven't really cared too much and it makes it a little tougher to debug.
I haven't spent anytime on it to try and fix it.

I've only used it for maps and haven't tried to do split screen with it. Didn't know that was a thing...

I'm not having any restarts/reboots running the latest version firmware. I only use it for up to 30-45 minutes of use, if my trip is longer than that I just plug my phone in as my battery drains too quick.

I'm still digging mine, use it everyday. I messed with the split screen but didn't find it that useful, I don't think our screens are big enough to take full advantage of the ability.

You're not looking at the right number. The units are only $75 each, scroll down the page. The number you are referencing is actually $3M in funding!! The guy is making a killing because it's an amazing product! If he's smart, he'll sell and retire!

Anyone with the aawireless from indiegogo get the "auto video focus"setting to work. I've been using the device for a couple days now and can't seem to get AA to auto initiate without having to use the touchscreen to select it. Music loads up and it's all detected I just have to select it from the menu to get the map to engage.

Haven't tried that option, but I just use the physical map button on the left to activate it.

Try enabling the 'request video focus on start' setting in the Android Auto Developer Settings... That worked for me.

Are you able to use apps not approved by Android Auto?

No the AAWireless device only allows wireless Android Auto to headunits that already have AA over a wired connection.

It also allows a few settings like DPI screen adjustment, AA Auto Focus, etc. But it primarily just acts like a data bridge sending the AA from your phone to the headunit. You are still limited to the approved apps.

I just ordered mine the other day. I imagine there will be some cheaper versions of this down the road but it is nice to support the original inventor

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
Cool set up....but for $100 bucks, I'll continue to plug my S21 in.

Yea, let us know how it works. Crazy how hard it is to find right now. Scalpers will scalp anything now... they're trying to sell them for $300+. So damn annoying

Not sure the point of pre-ordering if I'm not gonna get the product on release... Was originally supposed to get here Feb 9th through the 11th.

Wish Motorola would have gone through a different seller.

Right. I went with the aa wireless one that was mentioned after watching reviews for both products. I should get it in August but with how things are lookin with most products, patience is being forced on us
