Electrified diesels? Isn't that what we used to call a train engine?

About a decade ago, Toyota told all of us in the USA that they would never import a diesel into the States, citing really tough emissions regulations compared to the rest of the world. It appears they where telling the truth way back then.

    No.

Lol, some online "sources" were all worked up recently over a sub 6000 RPM redline (like, 5800 or so) on a 22 Tundra dash shot that included the tach.

MUST BE A V8 IF IT'S NOT 6000+ RPM REDLINE!! IT'S AN UPGRADED 5.7!! GOTTA BE!

Meanwhile, a previously released pic of the new Land Cruiser 300 had the exact same redline.. with the TT V6... NOPE, NOT SEEING THAT.

    LMAO

Could be, if you go to an authorized Hino dealer and see if they can order a Hino 155 diesel, in a double cab with 4WD.

Just like when there was speculation about a car engine (3.5l) in a Tacoma lol.

VW killed the diesel market in the US, one can only dream. The trucks will go full electric before they have a diesel motor under the hood.
