    Fair enough, that's a point I hadn't considered.

I'm sure you could upgrade and fit a bigger/longer shock in if you had the interest and knowledge, too.

Estimated travel is 13" with that new kit (+2"), im definitely going to be getting the kit once it releases since I dont wanna wait the 11 month lead time for new King coilovers.
I still have 4-5 months left waiting for my rear King 12" shocks (ordered back in march, 9-10 month lead time).

Most people don't want or need a bypass shock. I'm sure that's why they call it a "trail kit."

They know what their potential market is. Curious to see one in action.

know their audience ? ...you really think people running a +2 kit that usually wont spring for air bumps are going to spend $1600 on bump stops ?

I'd be surprised if it could pull 13" while only being +2. I'm basing that off of the fact that the TC +2 pulls 11.5" and my JD +2.25 pulls 13" but it's only possible with the extra articulation the 934 CV's allow.

I could be wrong, but I would think the CV would be the limiting factor here.

    Absolutely I do.

edit: Unless the slapper bump is optional. In which case I can see a lot of people opting not to add it. But it seems like the mounting tabs are where the OEM bump would hit. Hard to tell. If it's not optional then it's odd that it's not rolled into the whole LT kit.

I agree. The numbers don't add up but it's not unheard of for companies to exaggerate on travel #s.

Yes, I do. Save the cost of adding a bypass and obtain good bottom out control without the noise. Not saying it's a route I'd personally take but I see why it would be appealing.

Also, looking for a set of front fiberglass for a 2014 Tacoma with a 3.5" kit if anyone has a line on a set.

Im surprised too if the kit can pull 13" especially without modifying the CV's. Im just pulling that number from the product page description for the kit

You only lose about $400 on a resale of King or Fox OEM shocks - maybe reusing them sounds good on paper and I’m sure it does to noobs, but not worth it when you lose out on a bypass.

After selling my reg travel kings I only spent $250 on new foxes. They were ready to go before any front or rear LT stuff was.

I think some of you more hardcore guys might be out of touch with the potential market on a kit like this. Most people don’t give a shit about a bypass. They think “I can keep my existing coilover, so it’s cheaper and faster” and “that slapper arm is really cool and unique, I want it so I can be different.”

Their goal will be increased wheel travel (that they probably don’t actually need) and increased clout.

I bet it’ll sell in pretty big numbers as a “drop in” LT kit using your existing coilovers.
