I believe they just all hang out at Tru Automotive with their non-SAE "fog" lights on.
Yes, I'm still annoyed by the white 4runner that blinded the shit out of me last week.

Quick look on the maps shows a mix of road 600 and 140 that kinda sounds like what you described, exits north and Bypasses the canyon after twisting its way between Glenwood Springs and Dotsero. If not then it might be an other way to get around it.

Holy crap that's crazy... looks like it'll just continue with each rain storm. I wish the drone spun around once it was up at the top though to see down into the canyon

That will be partially closed and under reconstruction for years. Although something has to be done to reopen the route fairly soon.
Mother Nature essentially gave CDOT the finger.
The trees won't grow back quick enough to hold the soil together. a retaining wall would be useless. That section has become a new seasonal runoff area. Has the railroad been affected by it at all? I was wondering if the train is still running thru it.

Edit: it appears the track usage is suspended out of safety concerns more than actual damage.

If I get a trial to the software, I'll create an overlay you can put on Google Earth to further nerd out.

I imagine the next trick in a row is to find some reference points that wouldn't change, then send the drone up after each subsequent slide, and then compare the models, you should be able to get an estimate of the volume of material that slid.
