Truck looks great! Did you adjust the preload to increase lift height?

That should be a Factory thing, awesome use of that empty space!

The box is sealed and massive strong. This is a prototype, so i'm guessing its worth about $2K. Steve will scan and reproduce these. I'm guessing around $1,500 mass produced.
I have spent another $2K/2.5K on Fab, so this feature (box and cage only ) is worth about 4k-4.5K installed and finished.

struggling with the flat springs thing so i got my truck weighed today. door sticker says 5,600# GVW

tire sticker says "not to exceed 1,150#" load

ticket from weigh station says 4,800# MGV

i asked about the reading and the booth guy told me the system rounds up to "the next 20#" and that my actual weight was 4,783#.

truck had a full tank of gas & me inside (plus cap tools partial build in the bed)

Q: do these numbers make sense?

thinking about getting a second weight (from alternate source)

    thanks

Ordered a set of colorlugs. Cheaper and easier option to black out chrome lug nuts. Can’t wait to get them.

Sounds about right except the tires. What tire sticker are you looking at?

Tires should be rated between ~2300 and ~3500 lbs each depending on load range.

Edit: I think the 1150 lbs is the trucks load capacity, 5600 gvw minus the wet weight of the truck. The "tire sticker" threw me off

sorry; trying to give the best information i can glean.

    Q; if i take the GVW = 5600 & subtract 1150 load, i get 4450 #.

my weight ticket says 4800 #.

    if i subtract 4450 from 4800, i get 350#

    Does this mean i am 350# UNDER-weight?

just not sure how to interpret the numbers.

this is all stemming from my rear springs being almost flat, and i am trying tp put the fix into perspective*

    * i know: take junk outta da back !

Does anyone have a preferred tire pressure gauge they would recommend? Not looking for the most hard-core $25 kind; Average price that I’m seeing on Amazon right now is around 12 to 15 bucks. seems a little high, but always curious for something great.
    Thanks

If a load of 1,150 brings you to a max weight of 5,600, yes, 4,450 is your “empty” weight.

You weighed in at 4,783, but that included a full tank of gas (120Lbs) you and a tool box and tools. You are 333 over empty weight with 120 lbs of gas bring you to 213 lbs over. The numbers sound spot on to me and if you, your toolbox and tools weigh 213 or more together, you’re under factory weight.

I own Accugage gauges which did not make the above list, but features I like to have are: a flexible hose, angled chuck, bleed valve, rubber guard cause I drop everything, I don't like digital because I'm old, if it holds pressure until released that is good too since I'm also blind. Shoot, I didn't know they made handicap pressure gauges, but I guess they do.
